Jyoti Rautela appointed Uttarakhand Mahila Congress chief after losing ticket of Lansdowne to Anukriti Gusain
The Incharge of Uttarakhand Congress Devendra Yadav and the president of state Congress Ganesh Godiyal has appointed Jyoti Rautela, as the new Mahila, Congress chief of Uttarakhand. Jyoti Rautela is, currently the secretary of All India Mahila Congress. Jyoti Rautela had been compensated for losing her ticket from Lansdowne constituency at the hands of the daughter in law of the former cabinet minister of forests n environment, government of Uttarakhand Dr. Harak Singh Rawat Anukriti Gusain who is by profession a former model and beauty queen, also running an NGO for destitute children and women. Jyoti Rautela who had contested the election from Lansdowne in 2012 on Congress ticket and lost to BJP’s mahant Dalip Rawat could not get the Congress ticket in 2017 when former minister and Retired Lt General Rawat got the ticket.
This time she was the strongest claimant of Congress ticket from Lansdowne having been extremely active in the organisation and in his constituency, also running a sr citizen home for the hapless senior citizens near JeharIkhal at Lansdowne, but after the entry of expelled minister from BJP into Congress, her chance got killed this time as well. A committed Congress activist Jyoti Rautela silently tolerated this injustice but never uttered a word of protest or turned hostile as was the case from Harish Rawat’ s Lal Kuan constituency and Nainital seat where Sandhya, Dalakoti turned hostile by filing nomination as independent and Mahila Congress chief Sarita Arya joined BJP to bag ticket from Nainital ( R) assembly constituency. Realising the injustice done to Jyoti Rautela, Devendra Yadav called her and assured of every possible promotion in the party on the day Anukriti’s, ticket was declared thanking her for her sacrifice. Jubilant and satisfied Jyoti Rautela today assumed charge as the chief of Uttarakhand Mahila Congress at Rajiv Bhawan Dehradun where she was welcomed by women members and colleagues.
