There is a saying in Hindi ” JAAKO RAAKHE SAAIYAAN MAAR SAKE NA KOI” . THIS miracle happed happened with five persons travelling in their car heading to Pauri Garhwal. When it was nearing GUMKHAL , 4918 feet above sea level the car fell down turning upside down though the alert and lucky travellers came out immediately during the fall with not a scratch. This is called God’s grace. Though majority of the accidents in Uttarakhand are fatal and the ratio is approximately, accidents happening on every alternate day, sometimes daily. Most of the accidents are not reported or go unnoticed. This social media era brings forth most of the tragic accidents. Had there not been the social media era these accidents would not have been reported by the government agencies who always skip true information fearing people’s anger and retaliation. There is no fixed statistics on wild animals especially maneater killings in Uttarakhand which are on the rise including deadly accidents. This unambiguously shows the apathy of the government.
हिंदी में एक कहावत है “जाको राखे साइयां मार सके न कोई”। यह चमत्कार पौड़ी गढ़वाल जा रहे पांच लोगों के साथ हुआ। जब यह समुद्र तल से 4918 फीट ऊपर गुमखाल के पास था, तो कार पलट गई, हालांकि सतर्क और भाग्यशाली यात्री तुरंत बाहर निकल आए और उन्हें एक खरोंच भी नहीं आई। इसे ईश्वर की कृपा कहते हैं। हालांकि उत्तराखंड में अधिकांश दुर्घटनाएं घातक हैं और यह अनुपात लगभग हर दूसरे दिन, कभी-कभी दैनिक रूप से दुर्घटनाएं हो रही हैं। अधिकांश दुर्घटनाएं रिपोर्ट नहीं की जाती हैं या किसी का ध्यान नहीं जाता है। यह सोशल मीडिया का युग अधिकांश दुखद दुर्घटनाओं को सामने लाता है। अगर सोशल मीडिया का युग नहीं होता, तो ये दुर्घटनाएं सरकारी एजेंसियों द्वारा रिपोर्ट नहीं की जातीं, जो हमेशा लोगों के गुस्से और प्रतिशोध के डर से सही जानकारी को छोड़ देती हैं।
