It’s Gabbar Singh Tax ( GST) which has made inflation skyrocketing says IYC chief Sriniwas BV !
There have been protests in various parts of the country by opposition parties against skyrocketing inflation especially after the repeated surge in petro products n domestic gas, with countrymen already overburdened with rise is essential commodities. Not a single product today is left which has not become costlier say the opposition leaders. There had been spate of court arrests and protest demonstrations during the last few months by the youth Congress activists and it’s office bearers including it’s president Sriniwas BV.
The recent increase in the rates of packed grains, Lassi, milk, paneer, honey, non vegetarian items n fish by imposing five percent GST and in various other heads especially spike of Rs 400 and Rs 130 in per quintal flour and Rice including hike in ICU treatment n stay in hospital with a charge of more than 5000 per day , printing and even agricultural machines etc has overburdened the already disturbed commen man.
The Indian Youth Congress on Tuesday protested outside Parliament House against the central government over rising inflation and unemployment across the country. On the first Monday of Sawan, the government has given a big gift, increased the rates of GST on many food items. On this occasion, Indian Youth Congress chief Srinivas BV who later on courted arrest along with IYC activists said that due to the impact of Gabbar Singh Tax, the people are getting hit by inflation. By collecting tax on products like curd, paneer, lassi too, the Modi government has told – its goal is only loot, not relief. Whether it is wheat and rice, whether it is other cereals, the decision to impose 5% GST by the Modi government is part of the loot policy.
Indian Youth Congress chief Srinivas BV said that the policy of the Modi government is clear, loot and rule, whether it is a contract for the crematorium, whether it is a solar water heater, stationery, hospital rooms, LED bulbs, or bank cheques, GST has been increased on everything.
The National President of Indian Youth Congress also said that the people and the youth of the country are already suffering due to massive unemployment in the country and on top of that this rising inflation has broken the back of the general public. People do not understand what the government is punishing them for. He demanded that the central government should stop the attack of Gabbar Singh tax on the public and improve the policies as soon as possible to provide relief to the people, otherwise in the coming days we will continue to raise the voice of the people from the road to Parliament in this same way warned IYC chief.
Others who too courted arrests and addressed the IYC activists included the Indian Youth Congress National In-charge and AICC Jt-secretary Krishna Allavaru who said that the dearness love of PM Modi, who talks about defeating inflation, is well known today. It is because of their wrong and anti people policies towards inflation that today the rich has become richer and poorest. He demanded that the Prime Minister should understand the pain of the people of the country as today the people are suffering from unemployment, and inflation has broken the back of the common man already.
Indian Youth Congress Media Department Chairman Rahul Rao, National General Secretary and Delhi In-charge Coco Padhi, Manish Chaudhary, Santosh Golkonda, Jagdev Gaga, Bunty Shelke, Palak Verma, National Secretary and Delhi Co-incharge Khushboo Sharma, Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress President Ranvijay Singh Lochav, all the national office bearers and many other Youth Congress were present in the protest today.
