Instead of giving unilateral wholehearted support to AAP in Delhi , Akhilesh should have been neutral towards both parties. Congress leadership annoyed ?

It sounds strange that Samajwadi Party which is an important constituent of India National Development Inclusive Alliance and which fights election with the Congress party IN Uttar Pradesh and elsewhere , another important part of INDIA though declares that it is not contesting in Delhi , the national capital but gives its outright support to Aam Admi Party saying that it is extending its wholehearted support to this party ( AAP) because it has done excellent works in Delhi for the good of the society in the fields of education, power and health including giving several freebies to the poorest sections of the society Delhites.
But what sounds illogical and amounts to an unprincipled stand is that the important constituent of India National Developmental Inclusive Alliance Congress is also contesting in Delhi which has already ruled here during the past several decades and contributed tremendously in the development of the national capital territory.
What is important here to note is the fact that Aam Admi Party which is ruling in Delhi since 2013 led by Arvind Kejrival has eaten the major share of Congress party’s vote bank in Delhi and come to power while the BJP’s vote share of 34 to 36% is intact despite AAP ruling Delhi incessantly for the last more than ten years.
Everyone knows that in Delhi the minorities and backward vote bank is tremendous and the Samajwadi Party has a good say among the minorities and SC, ST and backward communities. Had it contested from Delhi it could have make a dent by securing good number of votes from these sections. Moreover forty percent of the vote bank in Delhi is of UP population comprising of all communities with minorities and Dalits, OBC n backwards in good numbers.
However, the Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has accorded an open unilateral support to the AAP declaring that it is not contesting on a single seat in Delhi. While this may be a wise step in terms of keeping the minorities and backward votes intact in favour of AAP stopping the possible splitting of votes – had Samajwadi candidates contested from here but this unilateral decision of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav to support the AAP and not Congress has definitely annoyed the Congress top leaders who say that instead of extending wholehearted and unilateral support to AAP the SP should have been neutral rather than going with one party and its supremo forgetting deliberately that Congress party is the major leading partner of I.N.D.I.A as is SP.
This development in Delhi may definitely impact adversely the relations between Samajwadi Party and AAP in the near future say political analysts as there can’t be two set of principles or parameters of support by any party unilaterally to another party who all are the partners of INDIAN NATIONAL DEVELOPMENTAL INCLUSIVE ALLIANCE.
