Infuriated farmers’ organisation SKM demand registration of murder charges against those responsible for killing farmers at Lakhimpur Khiri and dismissing the Union minister

The former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has today while expressing his serious concern over the killing of two farmers in Lakhimpur Khiri and grievous injuries to 8, after they were allegedly crushed under the vehicle of a saffron party leader tweeted pointing fingers towards those in power. Rahul Gandhi tweeted those who are silent even after watching this most inhumane massacre had already died. Senior Congress leader and former MP from Gorakhpur Harikesh Bahadur while urging upon the prime minister to take stringent action against the Union state Home Minister responsible for provoking the alleged killing of farmers tweeted : The BJP leaders should be strongly condemned for their most cruel acts and stringent legal action should be initiated against these fascist leaders. The prime minister should immediately terminate the minister whose provoking speech has resulted in this tragic happening tweeted former MP and Congress leader Harikesh Bahadur.

It may be recalled that as per the latest news about six farmers are reported to have been killed, four now succumbing to grievous injuries and two on the spot, earlier.

Total eight farmers were grievously injured after a vehicle in which a BJP ministers son was travelling with four of his colleagues ( goins) have crushed them in Lakhimpur Khiri, ramming their vehicle into the crowd of farmers showing them black flags in protest, sending shock waves across Uttar Pradesh and the country especially among the agitating farmers under the banner of Kisan Sanyukt Samittee.

As per the statement issued by the Kisan Samyukta Sangharsh Samiti n SKM on Lakhimpur Khiri incident it has been stated that in a brutal and inhuman attack on peaceful protesting farmers at Lakhimpur Khiri, Uttar Pradesh, a convoy of vehicles associated with the BJP’s union minister of state of home affairs Ajay Mishra Teni, his son, his uncle and goons ran over several protesters.

It is, reported that one of the farmers was shot dead by the son of the Union MOS Ajay Mishra Teni, Asish ( Monu) Mishra.

At least two other farmers were killed in the incident ( one at the spot and another in a hospital) and ten injured seriously said the statement.

It further adds that the leader of Terai Kisan Sangathan and SKM leader Tejinder Singh Virk has been injured.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha demanded registration of cases n FIR under murder charges against all those involved in this gruesome murder of the farmers including the minister and dismissing him from ministership as well.

According to the statement as announced earlier a large number of farmers started assembling from morning itself on Sunday at Lakhimpur Khiri for a black flag protest against the deputy CM of UP Keshav Prasad Maurya and union state minister of home Ajay Mishra Teni against the open threat issued by them to farmers in their highly provocative speeches.

The brutal attack on the farmers was made when they were peacefully dispersing after not allowing the deputy CM land his helicopter at the Maharaja Agrasen Ground and the protest site where the Union state home minister Ajay Mishra Teni had issued threat to farmers.

The farmers standing on both sides of the road to show black flags in protest peacefully were crushed under the running vehicle of the minister’s son and goons killing two and injuring about eight profusely bleeding with number of them hospitalized said the press release.
