India’s number one magician Shankar honored with the ‘Life Time Achievement Award’

Well-known magician Samrat Shankar has been recently honored with the’Life Time Achievement Award’ in Lord Ram’s Nagari Ayodhya. Bharatiya Jaadu Kala Trust has given this special honor to the country’s number one magician Shankar for his outstanding contribution in the field of magic art.

Many prominent magicians of the country were present in this award ceremony organised at Shri Ram Mantrarth Mandapam in Ayodhya. On this occasion, the trust also organised ‘Jaadu Samagam’. While the magicians shared their experiences, magician Samrat’s magic art and his extremely special contribution in this field were also highly appreciated.

Just to mention that magician Samrat Shankar started his magical journey in the year 1974 from Srikaranpur in Rajasthan. It has been 50 years since he has been doing his magic shows.

It is notable that Samrat Shankar’s magic shows has been seen by celebrities like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Narendra Modi, Ramnath Kovind, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, J P Nadda, Giani Zail Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj.

Many governors and chief ministers of the country have also viewed his shows and felicitated him. Even film stars like Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Manoj Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Katrina Kaif could not stop themselves from being overwhelmed by his magic.

Samrat Shankar has done about 28000 small and big shows in the country and abroad in these 50 years. Out of which, more than 10000 of his shows were dedicated to the welfare of various organizations & trusts.

He has done his shows in almost all the states of the country. In the cities of Haryana, Himachal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, he has been performing time and again.

He also has a record of performing 100 shows continuously for 70 days in the country’s capital, Delhi.

Magician Shankar will turn 74 in the coming September. But even at this age, his enthusiasm and dedication towards his art of magic are truly inspiring and worth appreciating.
