New Delhi, 16 March 2021: The Indian Youth Congress today protested against the controversial statement of BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj in which he had spoken against the Annadatta of the country and named them as terrorists, Khalistanies and Dalals. Youth Congress activists did their protest by burning Sakshi Maharaj’s effigy outside his house.
The Annadatas of the country are agitating against agricultural laws to protect their own existence, in which many farmer brothers have been martyred, and the MPs of the government are calling them terrorists, it is very shameful.
National President of Indian Youth Congress Shri Srinivas BV said that the attitude of the MPs of the BJP government is very shameful, BJP-RSS should understand that if there is no farmer in the country then their will be no country, it would be meaningless to imagine the country. He said that the youth of the country are with the farmers, and we will fight for the farmer’s firmly. The BJP government is in Kumbhkaran sleep, after all what is the compulsion by the industrialist friends that the government is not seeing the pain of the farmers? He asked while addressing the youth Congress activists.
National President of Youth Congress Shri Srinivas BV also said that the Modi government and BJP are working for the capitalists and are insulting the mandate by not accepting the demands of the farmers and by calling the farmers as terrorists, it is not only the insult of the farmers, but of the every citizen in the country he added. Accusing the government of being anti farmers by not withdrawing the three agricultural bills YC president Shriniwas added that the ruling party government has become a government of ‘Hum Do, Humare Do’. He also said that this government is anti-farmer, the Prime Minister of the country calls agitators in the Parliament as Aandolan Jeevi and their MPs call the farmers seeking their rights as terrorists, Khalistani and Dalal, these statements makes their policy and intentions absolutely clear said Youth Congress chief. He assured that the Indian Youth Congress is fighting for the farmers and will continue to fight even further, and we will not allow the government to be arbitrary.
Rahul Rao, the National Media In-charge of the Indian Youth Congress, said that the BJP and its leaders are anti-farmers, the government and its MPs did not even say a word for the farmers who were martyred in the farmers’ movement, but on the other hand, the farmers who are doing peaceful movement they are calling them terrorists, this is very shameful, this humiliation of the Farmers will not be tolerated by the Youth Congress. We demand that Sakshi Maharaj should apologize to the farmers across the country and the BJP should sack him with immediate effect.
IYC National Media Incharge Rahul Rao, National Secretary Mukesh Kumar, Vineet Kamboj and several Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress activists were present in the protest.
