Though efforts are still on from the side of the INDIA alliance to explore possibilities to rope in JD ( U) leader and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu despite the written consent already given to Mr Narendra Modi to form his government , the chairman of the India National Developmental Inclusive Alliance Mallikarjun Kharge has unambiguously said that the INDIA will prefer to sit in the opposition to wait for the right time to form the government. In a message on the social media handle X INDIA chairman and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge thanked the voters of India wholeheartedly for the massive support given to the India Alliance adding that the mandate has given a befitting reply to the BJP and its politics of hatred, corruption and deprivation of people of their rights. This is a political and moral defeat of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. This mandate is to protect the Indian Constitution and against inflation, unemployment and crony capitalism under the Modi Government. India Alliance will continue to fight against the fascist rule of Narendra Modi led BJP. We will take appropriate steps at the right time to fulfill the aspirations of the people against the BJP government. Kindly recall that in a meeting of all the INDIA partners held in New Delhi, 10 Rajaji Marg, all the leaders after extensive deliberations couldn’t arrive at a definite conclusion about forming of the government as the two important NDA allies Nitish and N. Chandrababu Naidu carrying the combined strength of 28 MPs had already rendered written support to caretaker Prime minister Narendra Modi to form his new government , for the third consecutive time. This was in a way a huge jolt to INDIA as Nitish has not deviated his stand to support NDA despite an offer from the former to lead INDIA govt as its king and well as kingmaker. In a statement to media Tejasvi Yadav hads categorically revealed that this is a golden period for Nitish Uncle to become the king and help in giving Bihar the special status , which clearly meant that an offer to become PM from INDIA side was already made to him but it didn’t fructified. The BJP led NDA n Narendra Modi is in real hurry and the NDA parliamentary party has been convened on 7 th morning to elect Modi as its leader after which the NDA delegation will meet the President under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and state claim to form the government. On 8 th June the swearing in will take place at Rashtrapati Bhawan where prime minister Narendra Modi n few of his ministers may be swon in. There are reports that Telugu Desam and JD (U) being the major support to Prime minister Narendra Modi will get a better and significant share in the ministries allocation. Compared to the previous two regimes in 2014 and 2019 when BJP was in absolute majority, this time Modi has worn a Mukut with thorns as his party is thirty two number less and has to depend on the NDA partners who will definitely apply checks on his governance holding the remote in their hands.
