India should first resolve its internal problems to become a strong economic, scientific and knowledge based nation than thinking of becoming a world leader : Rahul Dev, veteran journalist

India will not become the world leader ( Global Teacher) by entrepreneurship but by knowledge. We will have to inculcate in us tremendous knowledge than becoming just an entrepreneur. In categorical terms entrepreneurship is not that important than knowledge. The veteran journalist, former editor with India Today and Jansatta also with television news channels etc Rahul Dev was yesterday addressing an august gathering of professors, lecturers, journalists, authors and social activists in a seminar at PGDAV College where distinguished personalities from various fields were also felicitated.

The event was jointly organised by Rashtrokti Portal, Authors Guild of India and Parvatiya Lok Vikas Sammittee. Good number of students of PGDAV college also participated in this function. ” The topic of the seminar was BHARAT VISHVAGURU, UDYAMITA SE SIDHI. ( India to become World Leader by way of perfection through Entrepreneurship). Stressing the need for improving the present critical situation in the country Rahul Dev said that the past future of prosperity can’t be repeated or brought back to the present time, whatever amount of progress we make. He said he is least worried about India becoming a World leader ( Global Teacher) in the next decade, as being propagated tremendously, his worries are to see India rid of the ongoing problems and grievances. Instead of worrying about making India a world leader, our present actions and thoughts must be to ensure that the problems inherited from the past and the ongoing complexities n people’s grievances should be countered and addressed, most effectively. Rahul Dev also emphasised on protecting out regional and national language Hindi by all means saying this is utmostly essential to become a world leader castigating those who propagate english to the core adding that it certainly does not mean that he hates English.

Rahul Dev spoke for about half an hour seamlessly, emphasising that lot of the people, resolving present complex issues to make India prosper is more important than talking about making India a World leader.

The Director of Punjab Kesari, Hindi Daily Seema Kiran while lauding the decision to name a tribal leader n former Jharkhand governor Draupadi Murmu as the presidential nominee said that she is an outstanding lady who rose from the grass roots to the top by the dint of her hard work n dedication privileged to become the second women president of India after Pratibha Patil.

Terming India a nation full of knowledge since ancient times – carrying forward its legacy of immense knowledge, Kiran Chopra said it’s India which gave zero to the world from where started the counting thus likely to become a world leader in the near future as well. India is bound to become a world power in the near future with the speed of the bullet train emphasised Kiran Chopra.

Also chairperson of the Punjab Kesari senior citizen’s club Kiran said, we don’t need old aged citizen homes instead they should be respected and taken care of by their children ensuring that they live with them, comfortably and their children take due care of them. The chief guest of the function professor Brij Kishore Kuthiyala teaching media students for decades said that India is a sure sort world leader having already sat in the Bullet train. He added that even Pentagon had predicted decades before that time will come when India will leave behind super power United States of America and China, to become a World leader and that time has actually arrived.

The principal of PGDAV ( Evening College) Dr. Ravindra Kumar Gupta expressing his optimism about India becoming a World Power in the near future said that Vishwaguru is not a political concept neither it means that we are for military and economic dominance. What we mean is – we should be powerful in the context of being a powerful economic and military power apart from other outstanding achievements in all fields ensuring that the countries of world approach us to seek solutions of their problems.

The chairman of Indian Institute of mass communication Govind Singh preferred to speak on The fourth estate and said that unfortunately the print and electronic media is controlled by big business houses who have their vested interests leading to journalism losing its ethics, credibility , morality and values. About Godi media he added that it has been happening in every government when the media houses n their journalists prefer to serve their interests rather than doing free n impartial journalism with integrity.

This is a very distressing trend he added. The programme was ably anchored by Dr. Surya Prakash Semwal, media advisor to union commerce minister Piyush Goyal, author and renowned social activist.
