INDIA LEADERS ON THEIR LAST MISSION TO ROPE IN NITISH KUMAR AND CHANDRABABU NAIDU TO FORM GOVT ?

SUNIL NEGI

The post electoral manipulations to form government are not new which primarily started during the post 1975 emergency era when several political parties with diverse ideologies amalgamated themselves at the pan India level forming Janata Party to challenge the rule of the then iron lady and prime minister Indira Gandhi who had imposed draconian emergency in the country after being defeated in the Allahabad high court in a case filed by Raj Narain. Though after twenty two months this loose network of diverse ideological formulation broke into pieces on dual membership issue of RSS with India Gandhi returning back on power saddle, the politics of several opposition parties clubbing together started thereafter with the monopoly of the traditionally strong party Congress being challenged by opposition conglomerate time and again.

Today, instead of the one time strong and cohesive political party like Congress, the saffron BJP n NDA have become a strongest party n conglomerate finally compelling the non BJP opposition parties coming on one plank in the form of INDIA NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT INCLUSIVE ALLIANCE ( INDIA) with BJP led NDA coming to power for the third time in succession seeking a majority of 292 Lok Sabha lawmakers.

However, the BJP erupted as the singular biggest party securing 239/ 240 seats in this conglomerate, though quite less than its tally of 2019 elections which was 303 in numbers.

While, according to the latest results the Bharatiya Janata Party led National Democratic Alliance is all set to form its government for the third time in succession with prime minister Narendra Modi being sworn in again, a record of sort in the last 60 years , the Congress led INDIA with a strength of 232 Lok Sabha MPs is leaving no stone unturned to make a last time relentless effort to rope in the important partners of NDA, namely the Telugu Desam Party led by N Chandrababu Naidu and JD (U ) led by Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar.

Nitish Kumar is infamous for changing sides also known as PALTU RAM with Chandra Babu Naidu having left the NDA in a huff before the 2019 general elections and coming in NDA later on.

Keeping in view the flexible tendency of both these leaders to change sides with a combined strength of 28 MPs , the Congress party which commands the leadership of INDIA is making a last bid effort to rope in these parties assigning this important responsibility to its towering leaders like Sharad Pawar n others who are in good terms with them n well versed in such manipulations.

It may be recalled that Nitish Kumar was earlier the chief architect of India alliance who joined the BJP bandwagon just before the general elections feeling sidelined after the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge was designated the INDIA responsibility as it CHAIRMAN.

According to reliable sources if the switch in sides by these two parties ( as above) to INDIA bloc really materialises, the strength of this conglomerate ( INDIA) would go up from 232 to 260 and simultaneously the strength of the BJP led NDA will come down considerably leaving both NDA and INDIA short of 12 seats each leaving a scope for manipulating or enticing the support of independents or parties with little strength.

While the prime minister Narendra Modi and union home minister Amit Shah are all set to form their government with allies being the largest political party and the conglomerate of allies , having the advantage of being called first by the president , the Congress party and INDIA are asking for PM’s resignation saying that he has lost the right to rule as he had been repeatedly propagating about crossing the 400 mark but had got only 239 seats. He has no more right to rule said the INDIA leaders.

The NCP stalwart Sharad Pawar is believed to have tried his best to contact one of these leaders of NDA n is on the job relentlessly now as well.

The former external affairs minister and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid said that we will definitely work in this option and try to contact them to enlist their support.

Meanwhile, in a lengthy message on X the veteran Congress leader and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge has posted :

We humbly accept the mandate of the 18th Lok Sabha elections. This is the victory of the people. This is the victory of democracy. This time the people did not give absolute majority to any single party. Especially the ruling party, BJP, had asked for votes in the name of one person-one face. Now it is clear that this mandate is against Modiji. This is his political and moral defeat. You know that the Congress Party and our India alliance fought the elections in a very hostile environment. The government machinery created obstacles at every step. From seizing bank accounts to running a campaign against many leaders. Nevertheless, the Congress Party’s campaign was positive from the beginning to the end. We made issues like inflation, unemployment, the plight of farmers and labourers, and misuse of constitutional institutions central issues. A large number of people joined us and supported us on these issues. The kind of campaign the Prime Minister conducted will be remembered for a long time in history. The public understood the lies that Modiji spread about the Congress manifesto. I would like to say on this occasion that during both the tours of Shri Rahul Gandhi Ji – Bharat Jodo Yatra and Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, meeting lakhs of people, listening to their problems, and later finding solutions to those problems, became the basis of our campaign. We named this as 5 Nyay and 25 Guarantees. On this basis, we made a guarantee card. Our workers went door to door with it. Apart from this, another important thing happened because of the arrogance of the BJP leadership. They slowly tried to capture all the constitutional institutions through illegal means. Then they started using them against the opposition party. Those who got subdued, they suppressed them and brought them to their side. Those who did not get subdued, their party was broken or else they were put in jail. People were convinced that if Modiji got another chance, the next attack would be on the Constitution. People will see the proof of this with the new Parliament session. It is a matter of happiness that BJP will not be able to succeed in this conspiracy now. On this occasion, I would like to specially thank CPP Chairperson Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, our popular leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Mrs. Priyanka Gandhi. They campaigned throughout the country day and night and brought us to a strong position. Finally, I thank all my colleagues and well-wishers of the INDIA alliance. Everyone stood together in one voice. Everyone campaigned together and helped each other. Our thousands and lakhs of workers worked in good coordination. Thank you all! Our fight has not yet reached its end. In the coming days, we all have to keep fighting for the rights of the people, for the protection of the Constitution, for the progress of the country, for security on the borders. We have to ensure that the Parliament runs smoothly. The issues of the opposition should be given priority. They should be debated in the Parliament. The coming days will be important. We will keep talking to you. Thank you! Jai Constitution, Jai Hind

Today is very hectic for both BJP LED NDA and INDIA alliance with both the alliance holding meeting in the evening at Delhi. The Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP leader Chandra Babu Naidu and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar are heading for Delhi to participate in the NDA meeting with Tejasvi Yadav of RJD which has won three seats n is an important ingredient of INDIA has categorically said that they are trying hard to explore the possibilities bof forming the government.
