INDIA BLOC MEETING DECIDES ON PROTESTING NATIONALLY ON SUSPENSION OF 141 MPS. NAME OF MALLIKARJUN KHARGE RAISED BY MAMATA AS A CONSENSUS PM CANDIDATE ?

Leaders of more than fifteen anti BJP opposition parties , national and regional today participated in an Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance meeting, a conglomeration of 27 political parties at Hotel Ashok near the prime minister’s residence in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.

Prominent among those present in this significant meeting to defeat the increasing sociopolitical influence of prime minister Narendra Modi’s juggernaut were former Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Congress chief veteran leader and RS MP, leader of the opposition in the upper house Mallikarjun Kharge, former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, K. C. Venugopal, Jairam Ramesh, NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar, Bihar chief minister and senior JD ( U) leader Nitish Kumar, DMK leader and chief minister Tamil Nadu M. K. Stalin, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann, former CM Laloo Yadav, deputy CM Bihar Tejasvi Yadav, West Bengal chief minister and TMC Supremo Mamata, Bannerjee, former UP CM and SP leader Akhilesh Yadav, the former chief minister of Maharashtra Udhav Thakrey, Sanjay Raut, ( Shiv Sena) , Sharad Pawar’s daughter and MP Supriya Sule and several others.

According to a news report , the West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has raised the name of the veteran Rajya, Sabha, MP and Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge as the prime ministerial candidate of India National Developmental Inclusive Alliance.

All the leaders present in the meeting are believed to have given their widespread clearance on the name of a Dalit face of Congress, party.

However, this is too early to say reveal sources.

The leaders of various political parties also deliberated on various aspects of seat sharing methods among various parties , including formation of a national coordination committee before the general elections, this probably being the last meeting of INDIA and naming of a convenor of the alliance to run the show to the national elections.

However, in view of the suspension of atleast 141 members of parliament from both the houses of parliament, the INDIA bloc has decided to hold a nationwide protest on 22 nd December said the Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge.

Addressing a press conference after the successful fourth meeting of INDIA bloc today Kharge said that it is undemocratic to suspend 141 MPs in a single session just because they were asking the PM and HM to brief the house on the sensitive issue of breach of security in parliament. He added that this arbitrary action amounts to ending democracy as those raising their voice inside parliament are being suspended arbitrarily amounting to their clear intentions to finish democracy.

Regarding the seat sharing arrangement between the parties before the general elections Mallikarjun Kharge said that first this responsibility will be assigned to the state level leaders and in case the need arises the national leaders will intervene.

Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge said that all the leaders of various political parties were unanimous and agreeable to the 8 to 10 public meetings to be held by the alliance in the near future . There seemed to be consensus on various points and issues discussed in the meetings among the leaders of various political parties of INDIA block.

In the morning prior to the commencement of the INDIA conclave at the Ashoka Hotel the Congress party surprised all by declaring its five member National Alliance Committee in the run up to the General Elections. The press release issued by the General Secretary organisation of AICC, K. C. Venogopal wrote : In the run up to the General Elections -2024, Hon’ble Congress President has constituted a National Alliance Committee, as follows with immediate effect mentioning the names of Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel, Mukul Wasnik, Salman Khurshid and Mohan Prakash.
