Incredibly low number of Indians joined global terrorism but India will not shy to eliminate terrorist havens with hot pursuits : Ajit Doval

India has an inclusive democracy believing in diversity which has successfully accorded space to its citizens of diverse cultures, ethnicities, and religions, despite the fact that more than 200 millions Muslims live here and amongst the numerous religious groups Islam occupies the unique and credible status of pride being the second home for Muslims in the world with a population equivalent to the total population of the thirty three member countries of Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The National Security Advisor Ajit Doval was addressing the decent gathering of intellectuals, journalists, academics , religious and Muslim scholars at India Islamic Centre, Lodhi Estate at an event jointly organised by Khusro Foundation and India Islamic Cultural Center.

Besides NSA Ajit Doval the main centre of attraction in this event was a former Saudi justice minister and Muslim World League Secretary General Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al Issa, prominently known for his outstanding views on secularism and amity, a me derate voice of Muslims globally – fully committed to fight terrorism and terrorist ideology as is India’s NSA Doval.

Al Issa is heading a body affiliated to the Saudi’s defence ministry dedicated to countering the terrorist ideology, visiting India at the government’s invite as an initiative of an outreach to the Muslim leaders of the world.

Lauding the low percentage of Indians participating in global terrorist activities National Security Advisor Ajit Doval said that the negligible number of Indians who joined global terrorism should not lead to a sense self satisfaction but instead India will leave no stone unturned in its pursuit to wipe out terrorism and terrorist havens at all costs.

Amid cheers from the august gathering, the NSA categorically said that as a proud state with civilisational values and ethics, India strongly believes in promoting dialogue, tolerance and amity while dealing with various challenges.

To substantiate his claim of India pursuing peace, tranquility and tolerance, giving space to all religions with commitment and strongly pursuing counter terrorism measures NSA Doval said that this can be gauged from the fact that despite India having a Muslim population of 20 crores its share in global terrorism has been negligible rather credibly low. He added : Despite this , the challenge of extremism and global terrorism compels us not to be apathetic on this front and deal withit, with a heavy hand.

Strongly emphasising on our commitment to fight, counter and crush terrorism with a heavy hand NSA Doval reiterated India’s resolve to guard our borders and rise to security challenges beyond, in order to preserve our security and stability.

Reminding of India’s strong commitment to counter terrorism at all costs, come what may, NSA Ajit Doval emphatically said that India is a highly responsible country but our pursuit to terrorism can’t be compromised ever and we have hotly pursued going behind them ( terrorists) when the need was felt.

We have gone all out to destroy them said Ajit Doval reminding India’s resolve to fight and destroy them to the last.

Doval lauded Al Issa as an authentic global voice of moderate Muslims and a profound scholar with a deep understanding of Islam.

The former Saudi minister Al Issa wholeheartedly lauded India’s credible secular character and said repeatedly referring to India’s unity in diversity and the way it maintains positive coexistence despite various challenges.

Lauding India’s credible social and communal fabric, Al Issa said India is a Hindu majority country with a secular Constitution where Muslim component comprises of large numbers of Muslims who consider them as a very pivotal component living in peace and tranquility feeling proud of their Indian nationalities added Issa.

Appealing to Indian Muslims he said that religious, awareness of Indian Muslims should be the tool for co existence and promotion of tolerance and cooperation.
