In Haryana and J& K the Congress and India bloc to form governments predict exit polls !
If the exit polls of two states, Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana are to be believed even the news channels that allegedly come under the catagory of pro government supporters termed as “Godi media” are predicting huge loss for BJP in Haryana including a hung assembly in Jammu and Kashmir with BJP getting merely 20 to 21 seats in Haryana and Congress bagging a majority of 59 seats with Abhay Choutala getting merely 2 to 4, AAP zero including NCP, Congress and other like-minded parties getting 43 seats in J& K with BJP getting 27 in Jammu region out of total 90 seats each in Haryana and J& K assembly.
What is important here to note is the fact that in Haryana after the ten year-old rule there is a strong anti incumbency factor – tremendously going against the BJP with the impact of the poor show of BJP in the preceding national elections and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s increasing socio political clout.
Moreover, giving bail to Ram Rahim of Sachcha Sauda, who is undergoing life sentence for rapes and murder and seeking his clandestine suport has also annoyed the voters of Haryana to large extent followed by massive inflation, inefficient rule of the previous CM Manohar Lal Khattar, anti Kisan attitude of the government and annoyance of the RSS leadership and cadre with Modi – Amit Shah run government at the centre etc.
There are clear cut indications that in Haryana the Congress is forming its government by all means ending the ten years saffron party rule. However in Jammu & Kashmir, the electorates are giving a fractured mandate though the BJP will be in opposition getting almost negligible seats from the Kashmir valley though it will getting 27 seats from Jammu region being a Hindu belt.
However the National Conference, Congress alliance will have more than 43 seats just three less than a majority mark reveal various news reports.
If we go by the several aggregate exit poll results the Congress party is all set to win 55 seats to form its government out of total 90 seats in Haryana whereas in Jammu and Kashmir too the NC, Congress alliance is winning in 43 seats just three seats less than majority with BJP likely to get 27 seats in Haryana as well as from Jammu region having Hindu majority votes.
What is interesting to note here is that according to majority of exit poles the PDP led by the former CM Mehbooba Mufti will secure seven seats likely to become a kingmaker in the future game of government formation in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to political analysts while the National Conference and Congress will have its major say government formation , the PDP chief Mehbooba may be the kingmaker but her rivalry with NC especially in the valley for political supremacy will be a biggest bottleneck in government formation but will finally be fructified as she will never go with BJP having suffered a huge setback in 2018 when she had broken the tie up with the saffron party and the government fell.
