If Kejriwal wants interim relief, he should approach court said DHC. Petitioner fined Rs 7500 as penalty
The Delhi High Court has today levied a penalty of Rs 75000 on a petitioner who had filed a writ petition in Delhi High Court urging to grant interim relief to Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival for rest of his tenure who is incarcerated in Tihar Prison these days in connection with the new liquor excise policy scam under prevention money laundering charges saying that the Delhi CM is himself entitled to apply in the court by filing his own wrote petition to seek relief as the petitioner has no direct or indirect connection with the case or Delhi CM. While hearing the petition the Delhi High Court has unambiguously ruled that since the petitioner is not directly connected with the accused who is incarcerated in Tihar jail, he has no right to seek interim relief.Howrver, instead of the petitioner the Delhi CM has the right to seek relief by approaching the court. The petitioner has urged the court through his petition that the Delhi CM should be granted interim relief for rest of the tenure , he being democratically elected. To this the court rapped Rs 74000 penalty on the petitioner and quashed his petition as well. Kindly recall that Delhi CM is currently incarcerated in Tihar prison and the Delhi District Sessions Court had day before yesterday reserved his appeal for bail for 30 th April.
