If I am guilty expel me from the party writes Rawat in his social media post hurt by the serious allegations

After losing from Lal Quan assembly constituency badly and Congress party as well in Uttarakhand securing merely 18 seats at the hands of BJP standing victorious in 48 assembly constituencies, the chief election strategist of Uttarakhand Congress Harish Rawat is an anguished Congressman today who is fighting a war within and outside his own party responding to various serious accusations – one pertaining to alleged charges of taking money during tickets distribution by Congress leader Ranjit Rawat and another connected to the BJP accusations of appeasing the minorities in the Himalayan state by issuing a statement on establishing a university for minorities ( Muslims), in case the party comes to power. The anguished former CM has catagorically contradicted and denied these charges through his, two social media posts even appealing to Congress high command to expel him from the party, if they think these charges are correct which according to him are quite serious inflicted on a senior Congress leader who had been the former CM, general secretary of the party having served the party since several decades. In a social media post anguished Harish Rawat has written in Hindi :

The allegations of selling the posts and party tickets are extremely serious charges. If these allegations are levied against a senior Congress leader who had been the national general secretary, state Congress Party chief and Congress Working Committee member, a highest decision making body and the leader accusing me is on an important party position further encouraged by his supporters, then then these allegations become more serious. I pray to Almighty that the party high command should expel me from Congress under the guise of these serious allegations. The Congress party should destroy Harish Rawat on the ocassion of holy festival which is symbolic of burning the eveil forces represented by me.

This post in a diplomatic language is a clear indication to the high command to expel him from the party as he is indirectly throwing light on several senior leaders of provoking, supporting and backing his opponent in the party former MLA Ranjit Rawat who had levelled these serious allegations against Rawat. It may be recalled that Harish Rawat’s bete noire Ranjit Rawat, who was once his most trusted Political Lieutenant has levelled charges of taking money from some ticket seekers and his manager returning back the allegedly taken money to some of them, after they couldn’t get the party ticket while some are still allegedly asking for returning it. Ranjit Rawat has earlier accused veteran Congress Harish Rawat of sending him to Salt constituency from Ram Nagar where Rawat had got the ticket but later on shifted to Lalquan constituency, finally losing it to being defeated by BJP’s Mohan Singh Bisht.
