Iconic singer Kishore Da’s son Amit Kumar reveals : Indian Idol organisers told me to praise the contestants at all costs in its 12 th episode

Singer Amit Kumar,  son of heart throb of millions and singing  legend  Kishore Kumar who gave his melodious voice to super stars like Rajesh Khanna n several others creating history in Indian Film Industry is in too much of controversy for his interview in Etimes in which he accused the  country’s most popular reality show INDIAN IDOL of dictating terms and directing the chief guest to always appreciate , laud and magnificat the singing participants of the show in order to keep their moral high and motivate them to the fullest. 

Terming the 12 th episode of Indian Idol as not up to the mark and unenjoyable , Amit Kumar said that it was not at all enjoyable and I was asked by the organisers to praise the contestants at all costs as it was the episode to pay tributes to Kishore Da. 
I had no choice but to follow their dictates as, as this being an episode to pay tributes to my father said Amit Kumar in an interview to the Etimes. 
While responding to the questions, famous for histrionics on the stage and narrating ” interesting tales of his father’s era during musical shows, Amit Kumar catagorically said that he was invited at the 12 th episode of Indian Idol show as chief guest.

I demanded my fee from them and was told of a certain amount, which I agreed upon as his father, eminent singer Kishore Da was also very particular of taking his fee in time, come what may. However, I was told to praise all the contestants of the show and I acted on their advise. I had demanded my script from the Indian Idol managers but was not given narrated Amit Kumar, who too is a renowned singer. 

Unambiguously objecting to the singing of Kishore Kumar songs by  judges of the show ” Indian Idol” 12 th episode viz  Himesh Reshamiya n Neha Kakker that was exhibited three weeks ago on Sony, Amit Kumar said that justice was not done to the iconic songs n voice of his father while paying singing tributes, expressing his dissatisfaction and annoyance. 
One of the judges renowned lyricist and poet Muntazir  retorted expresding his annoyance saying that this is  absolutely wrong on the part of Amit Kumar, who was honourably invited as chief guest and who charged enough money against his invitation. 

This does not sound good for him to criticize the programme already telecast after attending it as chief guest. 

If he had any reservation against this programme he should have avoided it instead of first charging a hefty sum against his being a chief guest and then criticizing it in the media thus bringing bad name for a reality show that is globally popular added the lyricist n judge if Indian Idol reality show.
