I A S Shailesh Bagauli who was the secretary to the chief minister, Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami was removed as the home secretary of Uttarakhand by the Election Commission of India alongwith other home secretaries of five states and a DGP of West Bengal. Now, in his place Dilip Jawalkar IAS will be the new Home secretary of Uttarakhand who was looking over the charge as Finance Secretary of Uttarakhand. While appointing Jawalkar the Election Commision has selected his name from the panel of three names recommended. IAS Dileep Jawalkar has been appointed as the home secretary of Uttarakhand in addition to his charge as secretary of Finance, Uttarakhand.
