Hundreds of terminated employees of DTC ( Marshals) of Civil Defence protesting and sitting on Dharna, outside Delhi Assembly precincts
Hundreds of Marshals working in DTC now terminated from services and civil defence ex employees along with with their family members, men and women are sitting on Dharna outside Delhi Vidhan Sabha since the last several days demanding revocation of their arbitrary termination orders and enrolling them back into employment in DTC and civil defence services on contractual basis. About more than ten thousand employees working in DTC n Civil Defence under the Delhi government have been terminated from services arbitrarily few months, ago putting more than ten thousand families in extreme financial mess who all hail from poor families not able to pay their house rent, fees of their children with survival at stake.
These protesting ex employees are struggling for justice relentlessly for the last several months having held number of protest demonstrations and Dharna but of no avail. These protesting ex employees say that the government has expelled them from services assigning no reason after their srvices of several years resulting in their families going in financial distress and one the brink of disaster. They blame the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal as well as the Delhi’s Lt. Governor and the central BJP government saying that if the Delhi government has, terminated their services illegally the Lt governor who comes under the jurisdiction of Central government should come to their rescue but he too is mum, not coming to our side said maximum protecting ex DTC employees.
They threatened to campaign against both the Kejriwal government as well as the BJP in case they do not come to their rescue and revocate their termination orders. These protesting workers, men, women and children have been sitting in Dharna for the last several months, outside Delhi Assembly seeking justice during the winter season.
