Hundreds of protestors burn effigy of Prem Chand Aggrawal outside his camp office at Rishikesh

Hundreds of protestors today marched to the camp office of the finance minister of Uttarakhand Prem Chand Aggrawal’s office and burnt his effigy also thrashing it with shoes and sticks. The angered protestors were raising slogans against Prem Chand Aggrawal denouncing him for his anti pahadi abusive comments in Uttarakhand assembly and the speaker Ritu Khanduri just becoming a mere spectator instead of discouraging or denouncing the minister. However, the MLA from Badrinath Lakhpat Singh Butola was ousted from the assembly and scolded by the speaker when he raised this issue and accused the finance minister for using abusive language against the Uttarakhandies. The furious demonstrators physically confronted with large number of police station the barricades outside the camp office of the finance minister Prem Chand Aggrawal. It may be recalled that the controversial finance minister Prem Chandra Aggrawal has uttered abusive language against the “Pahadees” in assembly the other day leading to protests at several locations of Delhi. When he was the speaker of Uttarakhand assembly his name had appeared for giving illegal appointments to his relatives and near and dear ones against the established norms. He was also accused for having thrashed one Negi, RSS and BJP activists on road with his video going viral. Another video is going viral in social media in which the minister is seen angrily scolding the Uttarakhand movement activists who had gone to meet him in connection with some of their demands.
