House adjourned on Tuesday too. Opposition MPs stage a sit in last night on Manipur situation and against AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s suspension

The logjam of the monsoon session continued on Tuesday as well with entire non BJP opposition led by Congress relentlessly walking out of the house raising slogans demanding the prime minister’s statement on the Manipur imbroglio. As a result the speaker had no option but to adjourn the house till 5.PM.Tuesday as Monday saw the opposition party MPs moving the adjournment notices in both the houses of parliament demanding discussion on critical Manipur situation and demanding the statement of prime minister Narendra Modi who has maintained his tight lipped silence over Manipur even after 80 days with massive violence taking place in this North Eastern state with about 150 casualties including hundreds of villages burn the and thousands homeless. There were charges and counter charges in Lok Sabha with opposition demanding PM’s statement on Manipur not agreeing on the statement of the home minister Amit Shah and the NDA MPs moving counter notices for short duration discussions on Crime against Women in other states like Rajasthan, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and, Kerala. The Congress veteran leader and president Mallikarjun Kharge while speaking in the Lok Sabha this morning said : We are talking about Manipur, the Prime Minister is calling “INDIA” as “East India Company” outside the House! Congress party has always been with ‘Mother India’ i.e. ‘Bharat Mata’. The slaves of the British were the political descendants of the BJP. Prime Minister Modi, stop diverting the attention of the country with your rhetoric. In a tweet Kharge wrote : 83 days of unabated violence in Manipur requires the Prime Minister to make a comprehensive statement in the Parliament. Stories of absolute horror are now slowly trickling down. INDIA demands answers from the Modi Govt on Manipur violence. The situation in Northeast is fragile and the repercussions of Manipur violence seems to be spilling to other states too. This is not good for our sensitive border states. High time PM Modi sheds his ego and takes the country into confidence on Manipur. PM Modi must tell what is his Government doing to improve the situation and when will normalcy return in Manipur.Meanwhile according to the latest news the MPs of majority of opposition parties associated with newly formed INDIA had staged a night long Dharna on Manipur critical situation in front of Mahatma Gandhi statute and against the suspension of AAP MP Sanjay Singh during the entire session in Parliament precincts. The Manipur government seemed to have arrested the seventh culprit involved in the Manipur video matter that showed naked women being paraded in the NE State leading to furore in the Parliament.
