Hoax call of a bomb in Tajmahal precincts led to chaotic situation. Hoax caller arrested at Ferozabad
The situation at Tajmahal premises in Agra became chaotic today when the local police got a hoax call about a bomb fitted inside Tajmahal. The police has no option but to evacuate the visiting tourists inside the historic Tajmahal as well as in the precincts with tourists, many of whom were foreigners, arguing with the police personnel who were not disclosing the reason behind their evacuation in order to avoid the panic situation. The police thereafter informed them about the information of a bomb inside the TAJ Mahal precincts. Both the main gates were also closed with entry of the outsiders banned.
According to the SP city, the Agra police on Thursday received a call on mobile number 8318881301 that a bomb has been planted near the Tajmahal, which may blast after sometime.
On hearing the call, the Agra police expeditiously came into action and it’s @cosadar laced team immediately rushed to the Tajmahal precincts to take necessary action like initiating the search campaign and evacuating the tourists who were inside the Tajmahal as well as in the outer precincts. The Central Industrial Security Force also came into action to find the bomb.
In order to avoid the panic situation the police evacuated the tourists, many of whom were foreign tourists forcibly without initially giving them the reason, that also lead to some arguments like situation with the police.
Since the safety of the tourists was the prime concern of the police it was necessary to evacuate them out from the Tajmahal n its external precincts at the earliest.
However, after in-depth investigations it was revealed that the call was fake. According to the latest news reports the hoax caller has been arrested from Ferozabad.
There was chaos inside and outside the Tajmahal after the Agra police rushed to the venue to evacuate the tourists. The situation is under control now. The police is interrogating the culprit who is under police custody at present. His name is Vimal Singh who is reported to be mentally unstable.
