HM Amit Shah confident of BJP winning by more than 200 seats, Mamta accuses BJP of bringing anti social elements in Nandigram
Nandigram assembly constituency has become the prestige issue for both, Bhartiya Janata Party and Trinamool Congress. The sitting lawmaker, Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee is the candidate from here whereas Shuvendu Adhikari, a rebel TMC leader who joined BJP recently is the saffron party candidate against her.
There have been accusations and counter accusations from both the sides with TMC candidate Mamta Bannerjee accusing the BJP and its leaders of accompanying good number of anti social elements to threaten the TMC workers n leaders.
Meanwhile the Trinamool Congress has submitted a strong complaint to the chief election commissioner against the prime minister Narendra Modi citing his visit to Matua Temple in Bangladesh terming it as an open violation of election code of conduct.
According to the latest reports the West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has stationed herself in Nandigram for the last three days with union home minister Amit Shah holding an impressive road show on Tuesday, with thousands of BJP workers n leaders including electorates lining up in long queues on both sides of the roads raising anti TMC n pro BJP n Amit Shah slogans. Nandigram seat is experiencing a high-octane battle between turncoat Suvendu Adhikari and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, which falls in the second phase of the state assembly elections to be held on April 1.
The union home minister Amit Shah alongwith the Nandigram candidate Shuveendu Adhikari seemed to be in a jubilant mode after acknowledging tremendous crowd support during the road show.
While speaking to a reporter union home minister Amit Shah claimed that Bhartiya Janata Party is winning by 200 n more seats in West Bengal in this assembly election. He appealed to the electorates of Nandigram to defeat Mamata deedi as this will be the best course of action to get rid of her in Bengal.
Meanwhile, Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has in her road show with thousands of followers and TMC workers following her has catagorically said that the Bhartiya Janata Party has brought large number of anti social elements in Nandigram to influence the election in their favour by threatening the TMC workers.
The second phase of election campaign of West Bengal is hectically on, with road shows of union home minister Amit Shah and Mamata Banerjee becoming the main centre of attraction in national media with both the leaders of rival parties accusing each other of influencing the elections through unfair means.
The second phase of election in West Bengal will take place on 1st April.
Meanwhile the Bollywood Super Star Mithun Chakravorthy who has recently joined the Bhartiya Janata Party has today campaigned extensively for the party candidate Swapan Dasgupta from Tarakeshwar Assembly constituency enticing tremendous crowds.
