Hindi Khabar journalist Priya Rana pulled by hair, physically thrashed along with her camera crew and driver by building mafia, goons

While the elections are likely to come to an end on June 1 st with the counting on June 4, in Ghaziabad an organised builder mafia and his goons have attacked a girl journalist of Hindi Khabar, a leading channel of Western Uttar Pradesh Priya Rana, physically assaulting her including badly thrashing her cameraman and a driver the other day with the Hindi Khabar reporter escaping from the police post in Ghaziabad where the Chowki In-charge etc didn’t cooperated her, not registering the FIR against the culprits then. The brave badly terrorised girl reporter who had gone at a location in Ghaziabad to cover the unauthorised construction of villas , houses etc along with her cameraman was attacked, pulled by hair, and physically harmed, thrashed badly including the driver and cameramen with both of her phones snatched. Till yesterday after she had escaped from the police post reaching the Hindi Khabar office after great efforts badly panicked and literary crying in pain, the badly thrashed driver and cameraman were missing and the video camera etc damaged into pieces and both of her mobile phones snatched with the local police not cooperating her at all as reported by the Hindi Khabar reporter after reaching her office anguished in tears and expressing her apprehensions of being harmed further. She appealed to the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath to help her and take stringent action against the building mafia and his goons who’d attacked her and her camera crew. The panicked reporter in tears asked in anguish : Yogiji is this the rule of your “double engine Sarkar” where women reporters and the media staff are being openly attacked and physically harmed. Your police instead of taking action against the culprits is helping them and not coming to the aid of the women journalists like her said the Hindi Reporter. Rajesh Pahalwan the kingpin of this attack, showing himself as the councillor whereas his wife is a councillor and are trying to make another video appealing to all BJP councillors to stand in support of them against the physically thrashed woman journalist, her driver and the camera crew also accusing the local police for not coming to their rescue said the Hindi Khabar management.

The Hindi Khabar has strongly deplored this act saying that they are trying to create pressure on the police and the victims by exhibiting them as innocent through this video being run on social media.

Meanwhile, the police has exhibited some efficiency and have arrested few of the culprits but nine of them including their kingpins are absconding. Meanwhile the Hindi Khabar has on its social media handle X has written :

The senior journalist and former president of Press club of India Umakant Lakhera has while strongly condemning this incident write on X :
