Hema Malini says the tragedy did occur at Mahakumbh but it was not that big. Being exaggerated !
The third time member of parliament from Mathura prominent actor Hema Malini says that stampede did took place in Prayagraj, Kumbh but it wasn’t that big a tragedy. It did happened, I don’t know how big it was but as far as I know everything is already good now, everything is under control. The tragedy wasn’t so big, it is actually being exaggerated. I myself took bath at Triveni Ganga confluence and found everything in order. The entire arrangements are good and perfect said Hema Malini giving credit to the UP chief minister. On being asked about the visit of Prime minister Narendra Modi at Prayagaraj , Mahakumbh, to take bath on 5 th February, the day national capital goes to polls , she said he is going there only because all the arrangements are good and situation feasible and under control. ” Wahan Sab kuch theek Hai tabhi to pradhanmantriji vahan ja rahe Hai”, said the veteran actress of Bollywood and MP from Mathura. For her the tragedy wasn’t that big as is being talked about as according to her the situation is being exaggerated and everything is fine. By her comments and nature of response it seems that the Actress turned MP is least worried about the massive tragedy and is more worried to give credit to the BJP governments for the Mahakumbh conduction. In social media her statement is being termed as highly irresponsible.
On the other hand the outspoken Samajwadi member of Parliament Jaya Bachchan protested over the massive stampede related tragedy at Prayagaraj strongly criticizing the Uttar Pradesh government for the mismanagement and VIP treatment meted out to the union ministers and other celebrities not at all carrying for the poor.
While speaking in the parliament over this tragedy the other day she said that dead bodies were literally thrown into the Ganges to cover the statistics of the dead.
Demanding to furnish the actual figures of the dead in the Prayagaraj Mahakumbh tragedy furious Jaya Bachchan said that the dead bodies were thrown in the river and the Ganges water where devotees are taking pious bath is totally contaminated. This raised tremendous controversy with Vishva Hindu Parishad demanding lodging of FIR against her over this provocative statements and her subsequent arrest.
