Heavy boulder smashes a Bolero n another car near Tota Ghati on Rishikesh Badrinath Highway grievously injuring two

A huge boulder weighing several tons today fell on two vehicles, one a Bolero and another car smashing them badly and grievously injuring two occupants of the front wheel, a driver and another associate. The incident occured near Total Ghati on Rishikesh Badrinath Highway today evening at 4 PM.

According to the latest news, a huge boulder fell down on white Bolero number UK 09- TA- 0058 On Wednesday being occupied by four persons, two in the front seat n two in the back seat injuring two front seat occupants as the boulder badly smashed the vehicle grievously injuring them.

After evacuating them from the smashed car the two injured occupants were admitted in the nearby Rajkiya government hospital being treated at Rishikesh.

The tragedy occured in between Kodiyala and Sungtali near Tota Ghati. After the felling down of a huge boulder on the front portion ( bonnett) of the vehicle there was horrible sounds n cries of the front n back seat occupants who were grievously injured crying for help.

The vehicle Bolero has been so badly smashed that two front seat occupants got grievously injured. On hearing the cries of the injured persons the local people informed the police who reached the accidental spot and rescued the injured by evacuating them from the damaged car, finally ferrying them to a government hospital at Rishikesh.

The felling of boulders during rainy season and subsequent landslides have become order of the day injuring commuters, several of them succumbing to these landslides during rainy season.

Just yesterday a cloud burst incident at Devprayag badly damaged an IIT Bhawan n a bank building and in Badkot Uttarkashi gushing river water entered houses n some school building reminding of the Dhauliganga tragedy that happened few months ago at Vishnuprayag hydro power project where about two hundred people died after being trapped in silt n muck.
