Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are poised for natural calamities, especially during monsoon season inviting one after another tragedies due to landslides, boulders fall, deluges and cloud bursts incidents. Not a single day is left without a tragedy in various parts of these Himalayan states. As a, sequel to the ongoing natural calamities on Tuesday on Chakrata Kalsi Road, under district Dehradun heavy boulders fell on the running vehicle grievously injuring eight persons travelling in it. A passenger Max vehicle was heading for Dehradun on Kalsi Marg, Chakrata carrying eight passengers including the driver when all of a sudden a heavy boulder fell on it smashing and turning it upside down grievously injuring eight passengers. According to the latest information the incident occurred near Lal bridge, on Chakra Kalsi Marg. There was panic all around with Army jawans, local people and the SDRF team evacuating the injured who included a child n eight passengers to CHC Saaya, where the docters after treatment referred two grievously injured passengers to Higher Centre for treatment. However, the driver got simple injuries while other eight passengers got serious injuries. According to Samachar 27 the Sahiya Patwari reached the accidental spot and immediately called the rescue teams.
