Health minister Subodh Uniyal warns if patients are referred without genuine reason the erring doctors will not be spared
The cabinet rank forest minister of Uttarakhand who has recently been given the additional charge of Health – Subodh Uniyal is constantly visiting the government hospitals and analysing the situation personaly directing the hospital management to be dedicated towards the patients with no lack of medicines and other services.
Today the minister visited the Rishikesh’s Rajkiya government hospital and conducted a surprise inspection directing the management that if any patient is referred to other hospitals if not very necessary , he will not spare anyone and the erring doctor will be dealt with with strict departmental action.
Health Minister Subodh Uniyal is now taking action against hospitals in Uttarakhand that have become referral centers.
He visited Kishangarh in the capital, Dehradun, and inspected the government hospital.
During this visit, he categorically stated that our hospitals should not become referral centers. Furthermore, strict action will be taken against those who refer patients without genuine and urgent reason.
Let us tell you that late on Monday evening, health Minister Subodh Uniyal reached for a surprise inspection of the Shatipan Shami Government Hospital located in the capital Dehradun.
Actually, no one had any idea about this, due to which the health Minister reached the emergency directly.
Due to the OPD being closed during the day, there was pressure on the emergency till late in the evening.
After this, Minister Subodh Uniyal directly reached the maternity department situated on the first floor, where about 26 pregnant and post-partum women were admitted. Minister Uniyal went to each bed and asked about the well-being of the patients.
The Minister said that right now I am only inspecting, if anything goes wrong then strict action will also be taken.
The Minister said that the department is with the doctors and all the staff who are doing good work, if they give their hundred percent then they will not have any time.
During the inspection in hospital, the Minister was also seen talking to the patients in Garhwali, on which the women also told him their problems in Garhwali. The officers have been directed to solve all the problems of the patients.
Health minister Subodh Uniyal told the hospital officials that even small negligence is not right, for which he directed the departmental officials to make local purchase LP for the needy patients. Not only this, he even said that if a specialist doctor is posted and patients are being referred then this will never be tolerated.
