Harish Rawat asks Kejrival to resign as Delhi CM and settle in Uttarakhand if he really want to serve the Uttarakhand electorates
After the dashing entry of Aam Admi Party in Uttarakhand with the chief minister Delhi – Arvind Kejriwal announcing three hundred units free electricity to Uttarakhand’s domestic consumers on monthly basis, including lowering of the commercial charges and assurance of free electricity to farmers with declaration of the name of their prospective chief minister none other than popular and deserving aspirant, colonel Ajay Kothiyal, the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party and Congress leaders seem to be in a fix, though they usually say that “Aam Admi Party” is nothing but a mere bubble of no political relevance in Uttarakhand.
The consternation created in Congress party in particular after Arvind Kejrival’s proactive announcements in Uttarakhand can be easily gauged from the fact that the Congress heavy weight and national general secretary, former state CM n two time central minister who is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that he becomes the next CM of UK for the second time Harish Rawat has finally revealed his frustration , criticizing Kejriwal for labelling BJP and Congress as looters, calling him a politician symbolising rhetorics and populist announcements to befool Uttarakhand electorates.
Political analysts say that the new political entrant in Uttarakhand, Aam Admi Party is a direct threat to Congress more, than ruling BJP as it has invaded into Congress vote bank in Delhi sidelining it completely in the national capital territory for the last seven years till now, not even giving it a single assembly seat where it ruled for 15 long years under late Shiela Dikshit’s leadership. Congress is a worried lot apprehensive of AAP’s, Delhi experiment likely to be repeated in Uttarakhand in the ensuing assembly elections.
Speaking to media the other day, venting his, anger against Arvind Kejrival, veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat who is too senior to him, earlier considering the latter as a non entity in Uttarakhand politics, said that mere rhetorics and populist announcements of free electricity in Uttarakhand won’t work as in Delhi he has not been able to satisfy the Delhites after given free electricity upto 200 units monthly, saying that even if a single unit crosses this limit, the Delhi consumers are charged the full bill.
Castigating AAP’s national convenor n Delhi CM Kejrival, Harish Rawat said that the geographical conditions and political situation in Delhi are absolutely different than Uttarakhand and his freebies won’t work here.
If he is so worried about the himalayan state’s welfare he should permanently come to Uttarakhand after resigning from Delhi chief ministership said veteran Congress leader Harish Rawat.
Patting his own back, former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat said that he has the track record of working in Uttarakhand politics at the grass roots for the last fifty years having micro knowledge of every issue, people’s grievances, Uttarakhand’s politics etc and have resolved their each and every grievances during his last five decades political carreer.
I know Uttarakhand geography, demography and basic grievances and their subsequent resolutions said Harish Rawat. Just making populist announcements of freebies without knowing the ABC of Uttarakhand’s geography, politics and people’s passions n grievances one can’t be successful merely sitting in Delhi said Harish Rawat.
It may be recalled that the assembly elections are due in March 2022 in Uttarakhand with merely six months left.
While the new entrant in Uttarakhand politics Aam Admi Party banking on Delhi experiments of giving concessions and upgrading the education, water, health n electricity sectors etc has declared their new chief minister candidate with freebies in electricity to start with, blaming the two national opposition parties for looting the state during the last two decades, the faction ridden Congress n BJP have not been able to declare their CM candidate on whose face value the elections could be fought in 2022.
