The former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Friday congratulated prime minister Narendra Modi on his 71 st Birthday tweeting Happy Birthday Modiji.
In a video message on ” National Unemployment day”, being organised by Indian Youth Congress in the national capital as well as nationally former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi said that prime minister Modi had assured countrymen of giving 2 crore employment every year but unfortunately the pledge was not fulfilled and the nation is today witnessing 14 crore unemployed people in the country.

He tweeted : The spokesperson of Congress Birthday greetings to Hon’ble PM @Narendramodiji. I pray for your long and healthy life.
Meanwhile the Indian Youth Congress today celebrated Prime Minister Modi’s birthday as National Unemployment Day.
The record of unemployment in the country has been broken for the last fifty years and the Modi government has taken out 7 years giving false assurances in the name of employment. Due to the wrong policies of the government, the people are facing double burden of unemployment and inflation said the Indian Youth Congress chief Sriniwas BC.
Indian Youth Congress president Srinivas BV said that a revolution against unemployment is taking place today on the ocassion of the birthday of prime minister Narendra Modi. He added that the birthday of Chacha Nehru is celebrated as Children’s Day and the birthday of PM Modi, who made India unemployed, is being celebrated as National Unemployment Day.
He further added that the Prime Minister has increased the unemployment rate instead of increasing the GDP rate. The country’s GDP is in the trough and unemployment is is touching skies said IYC chief Sriniwas. Instead of cheating the youth of the country, the Prime Minister should give employment he suggested. The IYC chief was addressing the youth Congress activists participating in the Unemployment ilent protest.
Prime Minister Modi has to understand that employment is not provided by rhetoric, one has to work to provide employment, policies have to be implemented said Sriniwas BC. He said Prime Minister Sir – the youth of the country need employment, not a jumla. Prime Minister Modi had said, Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and did Sabka Saath, Sabka Vinash he added.
Indian Youth Congress National Media In-charge Rahul Rao said that the graph of inflation in the country is moving upwards and the graph of employment is coming down simultaneously. The BJP government did not live up to its promise of providing employment but has rather betrayed the youth of the country. On the birthday of PM Modi, the Indian Youth Congress celebrated National Unemployment Day and on this occasion, Youth Congress colleagues conducted a 200 feet long flag march.
Many youth Congress workers including National General Secretary of Indian Youth and Delhi In-charge Bhaiya Pawar, National Secretary and Delhi Co-Incharge Khushboo Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress President Ranvijay Singh Lochav were present on this ocassion.
Is it a coincidence or purposeful agitation by unemployed youths on this 17th day of Sep 2021?? A big question to ponder about.
