Haldwani Councillor shoots a 22 year old boy . Boy dead. Accused arrested

A sensational incident took place in Haldwani. The news spread like a wild fire as a BJP councilor had shot and killed a young man. The accused is in custody.

A major incident occurred late last night in Haldwani, Nainital district.

According to the information, BJP supported councilor and divisional vice president of Haldwani Municipal Corporation, Amit Bisht alias Chintu, has been accused of shooting dead 22-year-old Nitin Lohani, a resident of Judge Farm.

The incident reportedly occurred behind Sushila Tiwari Hospital. The seriously injured young man was immediately rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body and sent it for a postmortem. Currently, the police have taken the accused councilor into custody and begun questioning him and investigating the case.

Following the incident, an atmosphere of fear and panic prevails in the area.

The accused councilor, Amit Bisht, is reportedly a BJP supporter and has previously been in the news for political controversies.

Some time ago, Kaladhungi MLA Vanshidhar Bhagat also staged a protest on the same issue.

Now, this murder case has sparked a stir in political circles, and questions are being raised about several leaders.
Confirming the incident, SP City Manoj Katyal said that the young man was shot dead. The motive behind the murder is being investigated and every aspect is being thoroughly examined.

The accused is being interrogated.
