Grievously injured woman in Pokhra block by a leopard , Chowbattakhal ferried to AIIMS Rishikesh via heli ambulance at the behest of Satpal Maharaj

The grievously injured woman of village Devraadi in Pokhra block in Pauri Garhwal district was admitted in AIIMS Rishikesh where she was provided air ambulance after the intervention of the lawmaker from Chowbattakhal constituency represented by cabinet minister PWD Satpal Maharaj.

There have been lot of protests in Chowbattakhal constituency in the recent past over number of human kills by the maneater leopards with the electorates complaining about her s being absence from his constituency and doing nothing to protect them from the wild carnivores’ attacks leading to several fatalities and injuries. In a social media message patting his back the cabinet minister representing Chowbattakhal constituency said that the leopard attack on Kanchan Devi in ​​the Devradi Pokhara block has been taken seriously. Instructions have been issued to transport the injured person to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment via air ambulance. Lauding the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami

It may be recalled that in Chandauda village of Devradi Gram Sabha of Pokhara development block, a leopard injured a woman Kanchan Devi, wife of Arjun Singh, aged 36 years grievously injuring her.

The woman was seriously injured in the attack. We pray to Lord Badri Vishal for her safety.
During the attack, Ankit and Jaideep Kandhari displayed bravery and saved the woman from death.

After all, for how long will this conflict between humans and wild animals continue in the mountains? Will any concrete policy be formulated to take action on this or will the villagers living in the mountains be forced to migrate like this?
