Grand nephew of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose resigns from BJP. Says my views are not in tandem with the saffron party
The grand nephew of legendary freedom fighter and founder of Azad Hind Fauz for India’s freedom from colonial Britishers Subhash Chandra Bose namely Chandra Kumar Bose has resigned from Bhartiya Janata Party after being with it for the last eight years having joined it in 2016 impressed by the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s grandson has left the saffron party after being badly fed up with its divisive, reactionary and hate politics and his proposals regarding Bengal BJP’s reorganisation etc not being entertained for years despite being good enough in the eyes of party’s national chief Jagat Prakash Nadda. Sixty three years old Chandra Kumar Bose who had joined BJP in 2016 tried his best to carry on in the party after being impressed by the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to media and sending his resignation letter to BJP chief meeting him personally, disheartened Chandra Kumar Bose said that his ideals, always were his grand father Sarat Chandra Bose and his younger brother Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose who always believed in secularist values and respecting, promoting and preserving all religions. They never believed in reactionary and divisive politics, always fought against them and believed n practised secularist ideals. I joined BJP motivated by PM Narendra Modi’s ideals but after remaining in this party for so many years I couldn’t function nor my proposals and reports about Bengal organisation were ever entertained by the national BJP chief nor the state chief despite finding them always very significant. He said I met the national BJP chief Nadda ji and thanked him including wishing him good luck but resigned as I could not function unless all communities and religions are brought together in harmony, the principles and values for which my grandfather Sarat Chandra Bose and his younger brother Subhash Chandra Bose stood firm during their tenures strongly believing in secularism, brotherhood and amity said Chandra Kumar Bose. He said he resigned as his views were never in tandem with the saffron party making him function less. Meanwhile the Congress spokesperson Supriya Srhinate wrote on her X, earlier Twitter in Hindi : The grandson of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Chandra Kumar Bose has resigned from BJP due his anger from the BJP’s politics of hate and divisiveness. The politics which BJP pursues, my ethics never match to them. My ethics and that of Netaji believed in respecting all religions on equal footing. Netaji always fought against communal and divisive politics. Therefore it had become impossible for me to remain in this party. Though gradually but the eyes of everyone will be opened one day. The hate mongers are being exposed. But did you see any breaking news? Did you watch any debate? Did the channels and agencies rushed for the interview of 20 ministers, no it didn’t happen tweeted Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate.
