Grand musical evening by Abhivyakti Karyashala at LTG, New Delhi
A grand and glittering musical event was organised yesterday by Abhivyakti Karyashala at LTG theatre , Mandi House where the son of legendary singer of Uttarakhand late Chander Singh Rahi, Rakesh Bharadwaj and his musical group under his able direction presented old Garhwali and Kumaoni popular songs mixed with modern music and latest instruments giving them a unique flavour know as FUSION enthralling the audience to the fullest.
The group of chorus singers who added honey to the “fusion” with their melodious voice were the young and budding artists of Pankhudi group.
The newly emerging female singer with her melodious voice Usha Bhatt Pandey sang several Garhwali and Kumaoni songs under the music composition and direction of Rakesh Bharadwaj enthralling one and all by her mesmerising performance. Her four Garhwali n Kumaoni songs enthralled the audience to the fullest with Usha and the team of Pankhuri acknowledging standing ovation.
The most enchanting singing by Bhuvan Da a leading folk singer of Kumaon, Uttarakhand was the star of the show who sang mesmerising songs in Kumaon dialect maintaining the ancient and traditional flavour not experimenting with it as was done in the case of FUSION.
On this grand musical evening, amid the heat of all the popular folk songs, Bhai Bhuvan Rawat not only provided the coolness of the cool drops of Chaumas with his Khanti folk singing but also gave a hope that whether the remains of folk singing should be irrigated or not, it will be decided automatically.
They will continue to flourish even in barren land. A simple and straightforward person like Bhuvan da may not have got stardom but despite all kinds of difficulties, he did not get distracted and continues to cherish the heritage of the people.
A budding though very popular singer Satyem Tejwan also presented his melodious songs and acknowledged tremendous accolades from the audience and Usha Pandey Bhatt received.
Several important dignitaries were also felicitated on this ocassion by Abhivyakti Karyashala trophies and a shawl for their outstanding contribution in the field of theatre, music, drama, writing, poetry and anchoring etc.
Those who were felicitated were Bhupesh Joshi, Gafoor Alam, Dr. Rakesh Bhatt, Jagdish Dhaundiyal, etc. The event was organised by Manoj Chandola and moderated by Charu Tiwari. The event was commenced after the lightening of the lamp by Dr. Harisuman Bisht, literateur and author, Sanjay Garg, Uttarakhand Academy, Delhi, Sanjay Joshi, entrepreneur, producer, Brijmohan, Mr. Daaspa, Senior officer and author and Manoj Chandola.
