Ghulam Nabi Azad appreciates PM Modi accusing Congress president for not having time for CWC
Congress party is in absolute crisis with its senior n veteran leaders leaving the party one after another. The grand old party which is 137 years old seems to be existential crisis with prominent leaders once in Rahul Gandhi’s coterie and in close proximity have joined BJP viz Rao Birendra Singh, Madhav Rao Scindia, Jitin Prasada, RPN Singh, Hemanta Biswas Sarma, Priyanka Chaturvedi etc. The veteran Congress leader and leading advocate earlier considered to be the trouble shooter of Congress Kapil Sibal had left it few months ago while a strong pillar associated with the party for more than five decades has left it just three days ago. According to the Association of Democratic Reforms report about 222 electoral candidates left the Congress to join other political parties during the elections between 2014 to 2021 while good number of ex n present MPs and MLAs probably 177 at the pan India level resigned from Congress put of which 45 % of MLAs defected to BJP between 2016 and 2020. Meanwhile, former union minister, fmr CM J n K, five term Rajya Sabha MP, party general secretary n member CWC Ghulam Nabi Azad who left the party accusing Rahul Gandhi as a weak leader leading to the party’s worst condition as on the day, also attacked party’s interim chief Sonia Gandhi for chairing the CWC meeting from abroad having no time for the party. Kindly recall that currently Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi are abroad in connection with interim president’s treatment from where she had chaired a video conference of CWC meeting yesterday. Annoyed Ghulam Nabhi Azad commented that while his timing of resignation and writing a letter to her are being questioned but the present president has no time for her CWC meeting. Accusing Rahul Gandhi for non cooperation and never discussing senior party leaders on party affairs and other important issues Ghulam Nabhi Azad said that he had strengthened Congress with his blood during his ling association of five decades but after 2004 when Rahul took the cudgels of the party in his hands all hell broke down and the senior leaders were sidelined and coterie entertained. He lauded Sonia Gandhi saying that she always respected senior leaders and consulted them on every issue from 1998 to 2004 but after Rahul took over, he discarded senior leaders and worked on the advise of inexperienced coterie said Ghulam Nabi Azad. After Sonia retook the charge as Congress chief onwards she too started taking decisions on Rahul Gandhi’s advise giving up the attention of veteran n senior leaders said Azad. He lauded prime minister Narendra Modi for his, speech in Parliament appreciating him and, said that earlier I used to consider him a crude leader but I was wrong added Ghulam Nabi Azad. He catagorically said that the day I had written a letter to interim president Sonia Gandhi, I was targetted since them finally compelling me to quit the grand old party which I strengthened from my blood. He said that today the highest decision making body of Congress has become completely effect less and of no relevance.
