Garhwal Hitheshini Sabha organises a health camp on post Covid complications, if any
The biggest social welfare organisation of inhabitants of Garhwal, Uttarakhand living in Delhi, GARHWAL HITESHISINI Sabha had organised a one day health awareness camp at Garhwal Bhawan premises at Panchquin Road, New Delhi.
The health awareness camp was organised by GHS in collaboration VIMHAS and DPMI.
The physicians and paramedics of of the above organisations conducted ECG, Bone and Lungs tests including sugar tests, blood pressure and other medical examinations and also distributed medicines free of costs.
The camp commenced at 10 AM and ended at 4.00 PM. Good number of members of GHS and their families attended the camp and got themselves medically examined.
The physicians, pharmacists and paramedics of VIMHANS, DPMI ETC were felicitated with certificates for their services in the health camp.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police Lalit Mohan Sungh Negi was the special guest of honour on this ocassion.
Among those prominently present on this ocassion were DPMI chief Dr. Vinod Bacheti, GHS president Ajay Bisht, all office bearers of the social welfare organisation, Pramod Raturi, BJP state executive Committee member, Uttarakhand, RCS Bhandari, Ramesh Sharma, Pawan Maithani, former general secretary of GHS, Sunil Negi, president, Uttarakhand Journalists Forum, Ramesh Ghildiyal, deputy treasurer Anil Pant, former President GHS Vikram Adhikari, Butola, journalists Yogesh Bhatt, Deep Silodi, cultural secretary Sanyogita Pant, Sudheesh Negi, executive member, GHS, Shiv Singh Rawat, Azad Singh, sports secretary Bhagwan Singh Negi and others.
The basic purpose of the GHS health camp primarily was to examine people with post Covid complications if any.
A Japanese couple accompanied by Ramesh Sharma also attended the camp and lauded the efforts of GHS is organising the health camp emphasising that such camps should be organised time and again.
The response to the health camp was quite encouraging but not very satisfactory in tems of attendance due to the prevailing heat waves, compared to the massive participation during cultural events at Garhwal Bhawan.
But the gesture of GHS was undoubtedly highly laudable.
