GARHWAL Hiteshini Sabha’s Election office locked.

The crisis in the headquarter of GARHWAL Hiteshini Sabha, the biggest registered social organisations of Garhwalies , Uttarakhandies in Delhi has reached its peak after the outgoing management led by its former president Ajay Singh Bisht has put a lock after the lock of the three presiding officers not allowing them to enter the election office to conduct their activities finally compelling the three assistant election officers to lodge a complaint with the Mandir Marg police station to resolve the crisis. However after the police’s intervention the outgoing chief of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha whose candidature has been cancelled / rejected by all the four election officers has refused to open the luck saying that the police is not suppose to intervene as this is the civil matter and that he will return the keys or open the lock only after the directions are given by the honourable court. This version was expressed by the unopposed declared president of the Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha by the three assistant election officers of GHS after the chief election officer Lalit Dhaundiyal had resigned in protest after failing in his attempts to arrive at an amicable settlement as both the parties were adamant over their respective stands. However, the elections of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha has already been declared for 12 th January. The outgoing president of GHS Ajay Singh Bisht under whose tenure the general house has unanimously stamped the nomination of the four election officers to conduct the elections transparently has outrightly condemned his rejection and that of 14 others saying that this is illegal, unconstitutional and uncalled for. He said that they were not disclosed about the reasons for the cancellation of their nomination papers nor given the opportunity to right off the minor technical errors. In the constitution of GHS however, it has been unambiguously written that any error, half filled form, spelling error or keeping any column unfilled would amount to the rejection of the nomination papers. It all happened two days ago when the scrutiny committee cancelled the nomination of Ajay Bisht as president , few other office bearers and some members of the executive committee of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha. All the four election officers had signed on this order rejecting the nomination of about 15 office bearers due to technical errors. The other day after the chief election officer Lalit Dhaundiyal tried to bring both parties to unanimous settlement , the party led by Surat Singh whose presidentship was intact didn’t agreed to allow the errors to be corrected as according to him the decision of all the four election officers is final and legally incontestable. This led to the chief election officer Lalit Dhaundiyal resigning not only from the post but also from the primary membership of the GHS. However, the other day the three assistant election officers U.S.Negi, Mr.Gusain and Mr.Devender Singh Rawat declared Surat Singh as unopposed winner with few other office bearers whose lone rivals’ nomination were rejected . They also announced that the election through voting will take place on 12 th January as announced officially earlier. The Ajay Bisht group has resented to this decision of the election officers as unconstitutional declaring yesterday as black day. It may be recalled that the tenure was enhanced to three years during the president ship of Ajay Bisht due to Covid situation with several casualties. Meanwhile as per the letter of the outgoing ( working) general secretary of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha Mangal Singh Negi addressed to the SDM/ Registrar of Society New Delhi district, Jam Nagar house the election earlier slated for 12 th January has been postponed due to the chief election officer Lalit Dhaundiyal ‘s resignation letter. The letter states that you ( SDM) will be informed accordingly after the nomination of the new elections officer.
