During the bygone national election before the declaration of results in 2019 his name was rumoured as a possible future top boss in the party and government.

Two politicians of high ranking images with immense prestige and reputation after Prime minister Narendra Modi are Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Nitin Gadkari and political analysts see them as future alternate choices for top slots.

Anyways, these are just guesses but what the union minister Nitin Gadkari said on Saturday in Nagpur definitely gave an impression that not a ruling party cabinet minister but an opposition leader was speaking as the tone and tenor of the speech was more of an anti government stance.

On Saturday speaking at a function in Nagpur Nitin Gadkari was very honest, saying that the gap between the rich and the poor has been widening tremendously.

The rich are becoming richer and the poor, poorer.

He expressed his serious concern over the existing economic disparity in the country.

He categorically said that the wealth is being confined to the ultra rich whereas the numbers of the poor is expeditiously increasing.

Dwelling strongly on the decentralisation he said that our economic system should be such that the opportunities of employment are generated on a massive scale and the rural India is developed multiply.

Addressing a programme at Nagpur union road transport and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari said we are exploring such an economy which can generate employment on vast scale and the nation’s economy moves ahead with a faster pace.

He even lauded the former prime minister Narshimha Rao and the then finance minister Dr. Manmohan Singh for liberalisation of Indian economy but favoured decentralisation station rather than centralisation of economy saying that we have to think about the poor and those living at the lowest ebb than confining wealth in few hands.
