Gagan Narang,star photographer and Olympics Bronze medal winner and PCI chief Gautam Lahiri inaugurate the PCI and Media photojournalist Trust photo exhibition

A photo exhibition has been organised yesterday at Press Club of India premises in New Delhi jointly by the Press Club of India and Media Photo Journalist Trust featuring outstanding work of photo journalists from the genres of photojournalism, documentary and street photography.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the chief guest on the ocassion, bronze medalist in shooting in Summer Olympics in London and also a star photographer Gagan Narang and the president of PCI Gautam Lahiri.

Both the dignitaries alongwith the management committee members and photojournalists took the round of the photo exhibition and watched each and every photography with immense precision and minute angle.

Gagan Narang lauded the outstanding work of the photojournalists showing different colours, moods, tragedy and scenic beauty of happenings at different locations of the country like a saint sitting in the fire, a scavenger inside the gutter, a man in flames, pictures across Ganges , a man carrying a huge colourful statue of Lord Hanuman on his rickshaw or a woman in a jubilant posture in front of Taj Mahal etc.

The outstanding photography was lauded by both Gagan Narang and Gautam Lahiri with the chief guest Olympian shooter and himself a star photographer assuring to organise this exhibition every year to encourage and boost the morale of photojournalist fraternity.

The photojournalists posed for a photograph with the guests Gagan Narang and Gautam Lahiri and presented him a framed picture of his, captured on various occassions including receiving the prestigious Bronze medal at Olympics, as a token of affection towards him.

The exhibition is open for another three days and all are welcome to visit there and have a close first hand view of these marvellous photography.

Sriniwasan, Shehjad Chouhan, Jagjit Singh, Rajiv Mandal, Deepak, K Kaanan n others.
