Fourteen MPs suspended for creating ruckus in Parliament on yesterday’s Breach of Security in Parliament demanding statement from PM and HM

About fourteen opposition MPs have been suspended including five from the Congress from parliament for creating ruckus in the house on yesterday’s security breach issue in Parliament demanding statement from the prime minister and union home minister.

The parliament was adjourned thereafter.

According to the latest news the MPs suspended are Behni Behnanan, V. K. Srikandan, Mohammed Jawed, P. R. Natrajan, Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, K. Subramanyam, SR Parthiban, S. Venkateshan, and Manickam Tagore having been charged with unruly conduct and behaviour, suspending them. The five Congress MPs suspended for the remainder of the ongoing session for creating ruckus are Paratapan, Hibi Eden, Kuriakose, Jyothi Mani and Ramya Haridas.

The son of former union minister for Home and finance P. Chidambaram, Kirti Chidambaram strongly condemned the attitude of the government in suspending the opposition MPs accusing the BJP for stifling the voice of the MPs in parliament not allowing them to voice their grievances.

The senior former Congressman leader and Rajya, Sabha MP Kapil Sibal while speaking to PTI said accusing the BJP leadership saying – if they don’t need the opposition they should suspend everybody because they don’t want any questions to be asked. He said we have been demanding that the Home minister give his statement on yesterday’s breach of parliament security and explain the situation , tell and assure the people if they could be saved, protected in future. He should also take stringent action against the gentleman who issued passes enabling these intruders jump into parliament said Kapil Sibal on the suspension of several MP amid ruckus by the non BJP opposition demanding statement from PM and HM in the parliament security breach. Meanwhile in Lok Sabha Union Minister Shobha Karadlaje looking after agriculture and food processing ministries sought a thorough investigation into yesterday’s breach of security in Parliament demanding stringent punishment to the guilty offenders. She is from Karnataka, the state whose one of the MPs hailing from her party has, signed the entry passes of the two intruders wrapped with UAPA charges.

It may be recalled that yesterday two intruders namely Manoranjan and Sagar Sharma on the pass issued by a BJP MP Mr. Prathap Simha entered the parliament House visitor’s gallery and from there jumped into the well of the house creating quite a ruckus and panick caught by MPs after being repeatedly thrashed. The intruders were handed over to the anti terror cell sleuths who had registered cases against them under UAPA. Both the intruders had also opened the smoke cannisters clandestinely put inside the shoes creating quite a confusion and sensation inside the house. Outside the parliament precincts near the Transport Bhawan two other accomplices were arrested raising slogans and opening gas canisters against the government. One of the two were Neelam from Haryana a highly educated 37 years old woman who said that she is unemployed despite being BA, MA, BEd, MEd, M Phil and NET qualified.
