FOUR KILLED AND 3 GRIEVOUSLY INJURED IN A GRAVE ACCIDENT AT KHIRSU, PAURI GARHWAL. THIRD ACCIDENT OF GRAVE NATURE IN TWO DAYS

The third deadly accident of grave nature occured in Garhwal, Uttarakhand in two days. Today again a tragic accident took place in Khirsu of Pauri district. Here a Swift car went out of control and fell into a deep ditch. In the accident, four people traveling in the car died on the spot, while three people were injured. The injured have currently been admitted to CHC Khirsu, where they are undergoing treatment. The incident took place near Kathuli village of Khirsu. The entire family was going from Kathuli to Parsundakhaal to attend the marriage ceremony. This is the second incident that happened in Pauri since this morning.
Earlier, a Tata Sumo fell into a deep ditch in Satpuli also. Due to which 10 people were injured. Srinagar Kotwali’s SSI Sunil Rawat said that four people have died in the incident, while three people have been injured. Efforts are being made to airlift the injured and send them to a higher centre. Help has been sought from the district administration in this regard. At present the injured have been admitted to CHC Khirsu.
Local MLA and Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has expressed deep sorrow over the incident. He wrote on social media that all possible help will be provided to the injured. He has also issued orders to the local administration. It is being told that preparations are being made to airlift the injured and send them to AIIMS Rishikesh. The local MLA and the Uttarakhand minister Dhan Singh Rawat who visited the accident site wrote on his Facebook post :
Sad news was received about the death of four people in a car accident that took place in the morning on Kathuli motor road in Khirsu development block of Pauri. I pray to God to grant peace to the departed souls and patience to the bereaved family.
The seriously injured have been airlifted to Rishikesh AIIMS, here I personally reached and took updates from the doctors. Other injured are being treated at Srinagar Base Hospital.
We pray to God that the health of the injured gets better as soon as possible.
