Five die in a tragic bus accident when it fell in a gorge while heading for Srinagar from Pauri bus stand
Pauri. Five people have died in a mini bus accident . Many passengers were injured. The incident took place at 3 pm when a mini bus number-UK 12PB0177 going Frome Pauri bus stand to Srinagar via Kendriya Vidyalaya crashed.
According to preliminary information, the bus lost control near Kothar Bend and met with an accident. There were about 18 people in the bus, out of which four passengers died on the spot. All the other injured passengers were brought to the District Hospital Pauri for first aid.
The injured have been referred to the Sub District Hospital Srinagar for treatment. With the promptness of the district administration and the cooperation of the local villagers, the rescue operation was carried out quickly. District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan reached the spot and took stock of the rescue work.
The District Magistrate has given necessary instructions to the Transport Department officials to investigate the causes of the accident.
Very sad news has been received about the death of four passengers due to a bus accident on the road towards Kendriya Vidyalaya in Pauri.
