Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav says – on the one hand the BJP govt gives Bharat Ratna to former PM Choudhary Charan Singh and Dr.Swaminathan , on the other hand it’s not fulfilling farmers demands

The former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has criticised the central government led by prime minister Narendra Modi castigating it for propagating the Bharat Ratna issue after naming former prime minister and eminent peasants leader Choudhary Charan Singh and renowned agricultural scientists Dr.M.S Swaminathan as its recipient when farmers were protesting in favour of their genuine demands.

Ridiculing and criticizing the BJP led NDA government for not implementing the farmers demands despite their incessant protests for the last several days Samajwadi leader Akhilesh Yadav said that see the hypocritical stand of this government which is in the one side trying to earn their sympathy and Wah Wahi by giving Bharat Ratna to Choudhary Charan Singh and Dr. Swaminathan , considered to be the greatest patrons of the Kisans and propagating it to the hilt but not accepting the demands of the protesting farmers who are sitting on protest Dharna for the last several days confronting the tear gas shells and being arrested.

He said that if the government really exhibits itself to be their sympathisers by giving Bharat Ratna to former prime minister Choudhary Charan Singh and legendary agricultural scientist Dr.Swaminathan and advertising it to the hilt then they should immediately fulfill all the demands of the agitating farmers pertaining to MSP, withdrawal of all FIRs against the farmers who’d protested previously , pensions to farmers and labourers , farm debt waiver etc.

Meanwhile, the union agriculture minister Arjun Munda has invited the protesting farmers for the fifth round of deliberations in New Delhi.
