Former provident fund commissioner VN Sharma distributed blankets, tarpaulin, masks and shoes to the needy students of Kamanda Intermediate college in Ukhand
During these days of post Covid when everyone is busy resurrecting themselves and trying to come out of the bad times confronted by them, a Samaritan, former president fund commissioner, now retired, is relentlessly engaged in distributing relief materials and support to the hapless and needy persons in various parts of Uttarakhand. I am talking about none other but V. N. Sharma and his social organisation Mahavir international n Manav Sewa Samittee who in coordination with other NGOs and social welfare organisations had been extremely busy reaching people of the slums, lower middle classes and those living in distant villages and distributing medicines, masks, thermometers, oxi metres, clothes, stationeries, oxygen concentrators, blankets, food packets n even financial help the real needy persons to provide them instant relief and succour. I am witness to his untiring services philanthropic activities for the last two years since day when when Covid commenced not bothering for his personal health.
This is something extremely outstanding and an example of unique dedication to help the needy, poor and hapless rarely witnessed in our society. As a sequel to his ongoing supportive attitude and philanthropic activities while just few days ago he distributed kit bags to youths n students of Nainidanda block in Pauri Garhwal Uttarakhand on November 12, V. N. Sharma and his dedicated team distributed shoes, masks, Tirpaul, and blankets to the needy students of Rajkiya Inter College Kamanda at Corbett National Park sponsored by Lancer Footwear Dwarka, Delhi and Uttarakhand Manav Sewa Samiti ( Registered). These high quality durable Lancer brand shoes and Arvind Mills as well as Bengaluru United Way Off high quality 200, N95 masks were also distributed on this ocassion. The high quality Tirpal, and blankets were sponsored by GLMS services said V. N. Sharma.
Mr. Ajit Ram the principal of the intermediate school expressed his gracious thanks to V. N. Sharma and his entire dedicated team. The programme was organised by Rakesh Mohan Rawat with the support of ex serviceman Tejpal Sundriyal and social activist Satyendra Rawat. The teachers of GIC present on this ocassion were Mahesh Chandra Joshi, Sudhir Adhikari and Smt. Jyoti Adhikari.
