Former PF Commissioner V.N.Sharma awarded for pragmatism, helping the poor and needy and for outstanding social work in New Delhi

The former Commissioner of Provident Fund Organisation in the union government with a transparent background of an upright officer of impeccable integrity fully wedded to the cause of the poor, down trodden , hapless and women empowerment having distributed lakhs of food packets, medicinal n medical equipment kits , financial help and clothing to the needy including organising umpteen number of eye camps, medical camps for the patients with critical illnesses like cancer, cardiology, asthma etc in the interiors of Uttarakhand and other states where medical facilities seldom reach including providing free education to the wards of the poor – V.N.Sharma has been honoured with an Excellence Award for social and public service for pragmatism, philanthropy and outstanding social Work across spectrum in Constitution Club, New Delhi the other day amid cheers and thunderous applause.

He received the prestigious award at the hands of the former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat, the former Ambassador and renowned Author B.V.Soni, Professor Rana, Former CPRO to CM, Ukhand and former state minister P.C.Nainwal, Haripal Rawat and others.

He was the only awardee from Uttarakhand among other recipients from rest of the country.

It may be recalled that V.N.Sharma is quite a popular personality in Uttarakhand for his immense contribution to the masses especially helping to the core the people of the lowest strata of the society.

His contribution is immeasurable and during Covid times from day one till the last he was instrumental in helping thousands of poor and hapless families of Delhi and Uttarakhand by distributing clothes, ration, medicines and medical kits including stationeries to the poor students , thermometers, oxygenators etc.

He has been organising eye camps, helping poor students with stationeries and free education and nourishing them including organising medicinal and medical camps for people of all walks of life since the last several decades.

The former Uttarakhand CM also released a book authored by former ambassador B.V.Soni on Lutyen’s Delhi on this ocassion. Kudos.
