Former MP and fmr chief of Wrestling Federation of India Brijbhushan Sharan Singh gets a huge jolt in Delhi High Court

The former member of parliament and the nine term president of the Wrestling Federation of India, BJP leader Brijbhushan Sharan Singh got a huge jolt from the Delhi High Court judge who took prima facie exception to his appeal for quashing the petitions filed against him for sexual harrasment and molestation by six women wrestlers of the country.

The bench headed by the Delhi High Court justice Neena Bansal Krishna said that the appeal filed by Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh after commencement of the court proceedings against him seems to be direct petition urging to quash the proceedings against him.

Giving the next date for September 26 th taking a strong exception of Brijbhushan Sharan Singh’s petition the Bench of Delhi High Court’s justice Neena Bansal Krishna asked Brijbhushan Sharan Singh as to why had he filed the same petition challenging the proceedings along with the order framing charges against him.

However, the court asked the former BJP MP’s lawyer to prepare a brief note in two weeks. The next hearing in the case will be on September 26.

It may be recalled that six women wrestlers who had protested at Jantar Mantar for thirty five days alongwith Bajrang Punia, Saakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat were detained in 25 th May by Delhi police.

The women wrestlers were protesting against the then Wrestling Federation of India president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh against their sexual harrasment and molestation finally succeeding in registering the FIR against him.

According to the latest news the Delhi High Court bench led by Justice Leena Bansal Krishna has while taking strong exception of the petition of former MP and BJP leader Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has given the next date for September 26 catagorically saying that BJP former MP should come with a brief on his petition as why and for what reason he requires quashing of the legal proceedings going on against him.
