Former JMM CM HEMANT SOREN RELEASED ON BAIL AFTER 5 MONTHS JAIL IN ALLEGED LAND FRAUD SALE CASE

The former chief minister of Jharkhand who was behind bars in a money laundering case in connection with a land scandal arrested by the Enforcement Directorate has been released on bail today. According to the latest news reports the former Jharkhand CM and leader of JMM Hemant Soren has been released on bail by the Jharkhand High Court. He was arrested in a money laundering case connected to a massive land scam by the Enforcement Directorate on 31 st January. His wife Mrs Kalapana Soren took the cudgels of the entire election on her shoulders and campaigned extensively during the general elections in Jharkhand and sought the blessings from the electorates in largely attended meetings securing three MP seats from Jharkhand with Congress winning two and BJP 8. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and the then CM had resigned just before his arrest sensing the possibility of his incarceration. His closest aide MLA Champai Soren has been made the chief minister instead of Kalapana Soren who wasn’t the MLA. Hemant Soren was behind bars for five months and the party have heaved a great sigh of relief after his release in bail. The INDIA BLOC had opposed his arrest terming it as a politically vindictive stand of the centre. After Soren’s arrest the Delhi CM Arvind Kejrival was also arrested in a different case pertaining to the Delhi government’s New liquor policy , now scrapped in a money laundering case still behind bars. The daughter of the Telangana founding leader of BRS and former CM Kavitha , MLC is also in Tihar jail in the same case allegedly for bribing the AAP leaders n party allegedly named as the kingpin of the South Lobby. The justice of Jharkhand High Court Rangan Mukhopadhya has accorded regular bail to Hemant Soren today . On 13 th June, the order was kept reserve for today after the arguments of the counsel of Mr.Hemant Soren and ASG ED Mr.Raju. it may be recalled that the JMM leader, supremo and former CM was arrested on 31 January in connection with the fraudulent sale of around 8.86 acres of land of Badhayi Aanchal in Jharkhand. Since then he was behind bars in Birds Munda jail . JMM is an alliance partner in the INDIA bloc.
