78 years old, the former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik’s condition is critical as his both the kidneys have been damaged as per the latest news due to extreme urine infection and age related complications.
He is currently under treatment at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in ICU and undergoing dialysis since the last three days.
After his admission in the RML hospital, the former Governor posted his picture while under treatment in serious condition and wrote on X : Hello friends. I am getting calls from many of my well-wishers which I am unable to take. My condition is very bad right now and I am not in a condition to talk to anyone. I am admitted in Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital since May 11. I was admitted to the hospital due to a complaint of infection. Now the condition is very serious and I am undergoing kidney dialysis for the last three days. #satyapalmalik. It may be recalled that the former Governor Satya Pal Malik was admitted in Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia hospital on 11 th May complaining about acute urine infection after feeling pain while urinating.
It is said that initially there was urine infection but it spread fast adversely impacting both the kidneys resulting in Kidney failure.
He was admitted and put on dialysis.
He condition is believed to be serious and critical.
Meanwhile as per the latest news reports the Central Bureau of Investigations ( CBI) has filed a charge sheet of corruption against the Jammu & Kashmir former Governor Satya Pal Malik and six others in a case pertaining to allegedly award contract to certain companies/ contractors of a tender worth Rs 2200 crores regarding the civil works of the Kuru Hydropower project when he was the Lt. Governor of the state. This project is being constructed in Kishtwar district of J & K through the Chenab Valley Power Project Private Limited.
It is being said that instead of allocating the tender through the set norms of online tendering and other legal norms the contract was directly awarded to Patel Engineering throwing the norms to winds. However, earlier after resigning as J& Kashmir LG Satyapal Malik has publicly accused the top brass of several unholy alliance with the Reliance company and allegedly putting pressure on him to give them the alleged clearance for a big contract but he refused outrightly.
