Former HT journo and editor of Defence Monitor Sushil Sharma succumbs to Covid 19, RIP

There is yet another shocking news today. The senior journalist covering Defence affairs for several decades earlier working for Hindustan Times, Sushil Sharma has succumbed to dreaded Covid 19. He was currently the editor of Defence Monitor.

His journalist friend Sunil Saurabh while extending his condolences said that his passing away is really a very anguishing news. In a Press Club of India group Saurabh wrote :
Our dear friend Sushil Sharma Editor of Defence Monitor is no more.
Man of many talents, Sharma ji was earlier with Hindustan, did shows for DD. The famous interview of FM Sam Manekshaw which we often see on various platforms is his..
He had recovered from Covid. But had developed some complications. Was admitted to hospital in Noida.
Passed away on his final journey today..😢😢.

There have been lots of condolence messages coming for from cross section of the society especially from journalist fraternity. The president of Press Club of India, former Bureau chief of Dainik Hindustan n currently a syndicated journo Umakant Lakhera has also conveyed his condolences on Sushil Sharma’s sad demise. Lakhera wrote: Very sad and shocking news. He was a nice, gentle colleague. Lakhera and Sushil were old friends having worked in the same paper for several years in the past.

Senior journalist and columnist Vivek Shukla while paying his heartfelt tributes to his old colleague termed his untimely passing away as the shocking news that anguished everyone.

Lost a talented journalist and a gentleman to the hilt whose void will always be felt heartily wrote Shukla on social media.

Sunil Negi, president, Uttarakhand Journalists Forum also extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and heartfelt tributes to the departed soul with prayers to Almighty to rest his pious soul in peace.

Kindly recall that senior journalist Sushil Sharma had recovered from Covid and was recuperating at his house but unfortunately post Covid cure he developed some complications leading to his untimely sad demise sending shock waves around while admitted in a Noida hospital. RIP
