Former Congress CM Harish Rawat became unconscious during protest, was lifted and taken to hospital !
Septuagenarian former chief minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat’s condition deteriorated on Friday at Dehradun when he became unconscious during the protest demonstration and sit in of Congress leaders and activists while going towards Police headquarter in large numbers to register their protest against the massive lathi charge on the peacefully protesting youths n injuring them at Gandhi Maidan for their demands for CBI probe into the ongoing UKSSSC scam and subsequent punishment of the Influential politicians behind this dirty game that has spoiled their career and job prospects.
When the Congress leaders and workers led by the state president Karan Mahara were rushing towards the police headquarter trying to break the police cordon they weren’t allowed, hence then sat on the Dharna there itself.
The former chief minister Harish Rawat squatted on the road in protest but all of a sudden he fell down unconscious as his health condition deteriorated.
There was commotion all around and the police officers arrived at the spot and cautiously lifted him ferrying to the hospital where he was given immediate treatment.
His condition is believed to be under control as he regained senses after the treatment by senior doctors.
According to the latest news reports the unemployed students and youths were protesting in Dehradun under the banner of Uttarakhand Berojgaar Sangh demanding cancellation of all the recruitment examinations accusing the government of encouraging cheating, and illegal recruitment of the non deserving candidates who pass the recruitment examinations through cheating and unfair means conducted by UKSSSC and UKPSC demanding transparency and improvement in the examinations and recruitment processes, including probe by Central Bureau of Investigations.
But instead of hearing to their woes , the police scuttled their Dharna forcibly and then injuring hundreds of protesting unemployed youths injuring several of them.
This resulted in thousands of youths congregating at Dehradun and several parts of the state and protesting against the police high handedness and the state government.
The opposition Congress party staged a protest march to police headquarter in which Harish Rawat too was present whose health condition deteriorated when he sat on Dharna in protest. He was ferried to hospital and accorded immediate treatment where he regained senses and is believed to be out of danger.
