For 97 youths in Delhi, Dewali came a bit in advance as they got instant job offers from reputed companies today at Delhi Mega Job Fair at Prayas Head Office at Tughlakabad.
This admirable feat was achieved under the banner of the Jan Shikshan Sansthan Delhi headed by Vandana Jena retired IAS.
The program was facilitated by the Prayas Institute of Economic Empowerment in which Prayar JAC Society and Equitas Development Initiatives Trust came together.
The JSS functions as the Livelihood cum Placement Cell under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship was the third such Job Fair organised by JSS in Delhi in three months but the very first at Tughlakabad Head Office and on its debut the Mega Fair set the highest placement record with more than 30 per cent applicants jumping with joy with appointment letters.
According to Vandana Jena, who is the Chairperson of JSS Delhi of the total 262 youth registered for the Job Fair 97 got selected.
Offer letters were distributed on the spot to 84 joyful aspirants whose faces lit up as results were announced.
Among the companies that participated in this Job Fair included ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Mahi HR Solutions Private limited, Labour Net Services India Pvt. Ltd, Dhoot transmission, Equitas Bank, Jan Adhar Society, Vaishnavi Integrated Services, Dinamic Oil India Pvt Ltd,Bucher Hydraulics pvt ltd, Masu Brake PaDs pvt ltd, Caliber HR, Quess Corp Ltd, Dixon, Allsec Technology, Excitel Broadband, Team lease Services Ltd, Youth4jobs and Adecco India Pvt Ltd etc.
According to Indu Rani Singh the Executive Director of Prayas the happiest feature of today’s programme was that the majority of aspirants for the Fair were girls (75%) and this should set a trend.
Manoj Sinha Joint Director of PIEE said that the kind of jobs that have been offered to these youths are warehousing,store operations and Mall outlets.
“Goddess Lakshmi has blessed nearly 100 unemployed youth today with salaries ranging from Rs.18 onwards,” he said..
